@slatyb you’re a racist and a brainwashed idiot. China has produced tons of artists and writers with free expression. China also has a booming video game and movie industry. How do you generate all this without creativity and expressivity? You only say what you’re saying because you’re brainwashed by your own media. American government has censorship and control tactics too that doesn’t mean America is just a totalitarian state with no free thinking individuals. Open your eyes you brainwashed buffoon. Chinese people usually don’t speak English so why would they pay attention to cnn or bcc? Any Chinese who wants to do so can buy a VPN and get the info if they want. Government and country are not entirely the same things

Sorry for calling you a buffoon and an idiot too offensive I’m sorry however I do think your viewpoint is very closeminded.

You can’t argue with numbers man. America incarcerates way more than China or any country in the world.

My family is from Beijing so I chose Beijing although honestly I’ve been there a couple of times already and bored of it. But I want to explore more of Mainland China so I’d rather see more of Shanghai or Fuzhou and provincial China like Fujian and Zhejiang. That’s my next travel destination whenever I can afford it.

I would go to Hong Kong.
All three countries are unstable, but Hong Kong is the most aligned with western ideals and culture.

If you value your personal freedom and freedom of the press, there’s only one place, Taiwan/RoC. Rather sooner than later Hong Kong will be indistinguishable from the rest of China.
