North Korea's authoritarian government would make it much worse than Somalia, which has no functional government. That means in Somalia you can do as you please. You can set up your own criminal organization: drug manufacturing, piracy, smuggling, human trafficking, you name it. The sky is the limit... if you are smart.

N. Korea. At least in Somalia you might be able to find some corner of the country where you could live quietly.

Somalia is simply a country who doesn't have no laws, while NK is the opposite of Somalia their rules and laws are heavy and non negotiable and failure to follow all strict laws of North Korea can cost you major consequences. Considering what I list off I realistically live in Somalia plus you can actually leave out of Somalia without any repercussions, I heard that someone tried leaving out of North Korea and they are getting locked up or attacked by a dog.
