In Canada we're halfway between American and European in level of friendliness/exuberance. A bit reserved but considered "nice" by the world, typically. So greet with hello's, take your shoes off automatically when entering someone's home, make idle chit chat when socializing (don't get into heated topics like politics unless prompted), and smiles are welcome and we don't "think the person's dumb or simple-minded" like in some countries. It's considered welcoming, that's it. But forget handshakes and hugs. That'd be going too far nowadays.
P. S. There's not really any such thing as 'Canadian food.' It's pretty standard fare. Leans towards a lot of fusion nowadays.
You just described Swedish people , but we have swedish food that you can find only in Sweden
A group of tourists stop off for a bite to eat at llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch after a few failed attempts at saying it they beckon a staff member over and ask "this place we're in, can you pronounce it really slowly for us?"
The waitress replied " bur ger king"
Do's enjoy the beaches, drink the beer, sleep with locals.
Don'ts try and pronounce anything, call us English, shag the sheep.
I have worked with Britts, give me few hours and am good to go. You usually have a very charming accent
I have a good one for when you're in Mexico...
don't be so mean or way too rude to staff and people who serve you (or just don't be that, at all) be careful with that... as you never know when someone from the cartels is next to you or near enough
seen something like happening that three times already, and it is not pretty... lol
Be careful at night if you are in a city with a democrat for a mayor.
Which part of the state is that?
Noted 👍

Don't leave your stuff in the car, find out if the neighborhood is safe, stay away from crazy people, and go to highly rated restaurants. Depending on where you are, drink bottled water. Don't honk at people unless you are ready to fight. Find out if the area you are going to has COVID safety laws.
I literally googled this and it's hilarious 😂 Just be a normal human beging with manners and all is good, don't be unnecessarily mean and that's pretty much it
I will try my best when i visit Germany. No nazi jokes am guessing
Oh yeah that's a good idea, but more because most germans don't understand humor and are sadly pretty boring
Iono but this is my current favorite song of his:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/-RrZ4EhjHlUDon't go to New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, or Portland. Do try and have fun.
Don’t stand on the left side of the Metro escalators. The left side is for passing.
I think that is a basic info. I think.
You would be shocked. SHOCKED
@AmandaYVR USA
@AmandaYVR Yeah, it’s more the case in DC. I haven’t seen it in a while but if you get to a station during rush hour and stand on the left side, sometimes people get upset.
Be kind and respectful and learn the slang
Dont
Laugh at our culture
I have been doing some reading about New Zealand, blame Jonah Lomu for that. I am very interested in the Maori culture but can't say i know much. Bit one day! I will be there and the culture you have there is nothing to laugh at. U played Rugby because of Jonah and gotta me quit football. Rugby should be world's #1 sport
Don't trust Google maps during the winter.
Don't go hiking without proper clothes & food and don't stray too much from the path if you are unexperienced.
Do remember you're a guest. Don't litter.
Litter! Am i a 10 year old 🤣.
I don't think only 10 year olds litter. 😉
I know! I have seen adult retards do that. No need to worry about me littering.
I didn't know the queston was about you personally. I grew up in a tourist destination and the tourists would leave their garbage everywhere.
It's for every one when they travel to other countries. I am one of many tourists. There is a lot i know about that place and there is even more that i don't know. I always ask
Don't tip.
We don't tip here, we pay our people a living wage, and we don't want that crap brought here.
Do- don't come here
Don't- come here
