+1 yObviously everyone is going to have different opinions based on where they lived, their lifestyle, political beliefs etc. And I may be biased too as I’ve lived in the Uk most of my life and think the Uk is better to live in but here are a few pros and cons:
Uk pros:
1) access to free healthcare. NHS here is great and yes waiting time are extremely long but at least we have an ambulance and can see a GP whenever we need with ought worrying about excruciating costs like in the Us. If you prefer private though that’s also an option.
2) gun ban
Can be a con depending on your beliefs obviously and there will always be people who still illegally own them here and so forth but at least it’s a peace of mind
3) Less extreme weather:
No tsunamis or major temp changes like in the Us from state to state. Sure there may be snow or ice up north and south may be a little warmer but not like New York vs Florida
UK cons:
1) we don’t really have ‘free universities’ I mean we do but let me elaborate. All unis cost £9,250 per year here no matter how good or bad basic tuition fee + more if international, and yes there’s student loads which most of us have but unlike the US we don’t have the option of a local uni vs top private one withought it costing the same amount. There at least you can pic depending on budget etc
The rest I can’t think of rn and too long to type tbh00 Reply

You're on an American majority site so expect the US to have more votes.
I've always been open to moving to other countries and have considered America although its never been a serious consideration.
The pros for me were:
Bigger houses
Better weather depending on the state
Air conditioning is already installed in their houses
Better shopping experience as their shops have so much more variety
Why I still prefer the UK:
The people are a lot more open minded towards other cultures. They don't call them "Aliens" here. Generally speaking the UK is a lot less racist.
Free healthcare. This was a huge one and I'm not ever willing to give this up tbh. Its a huge privilege.
The university fees in England are at a fixed rate which means the better universities aren't more expensive. In Scotland University is completely free.
The UK is generally safer than the US. We barely have any extreme weather unlike the US. On top of that we barely have any wildlife, and although it isn't necessarily a good thing, it still makes it safer. You can go into a forest here and know you're not going to be killed by a wild animal... maybe by some psycho with a knife.
If you're a fan of Indian food the UK has some of the best Indian food outside of Asia. Indian food is really loved in the UK, so are foods like donna kebab that are very common foods that aren't as popular in the US. I would say it is the most suitable place for Muslims specifically as there are a lot of Halal food places.19 Reply- +1 y
Just thought of another one...
The people aren't as divided. I've heard it to be pretty crazy when it comes to the elections. I remember in the last election you were seen as the devil if you dared to vote Trump. I've known people that kept their vote a secret because they didn't want to be bashed for their views, and im not talking about liberal states either.
The UK culture is way different. Although its normal for people on social media to make fun of the opposing party, the tension is nothing like it is the US. Brexit wasn't even comparable to what the US elections are like. - +1 y
I've never heard of brexit but it sounds delicious. Is it like breakfast? But yeah we do have some heck of elections here in the greatest country. That's why every little country around the world knows our election!! When the country that leads the free world elects the president every tv in every little country is showing it because the USA has an impact on the entire world. by the way I voted Trump and I'll vote Trump again in 2024 and it's not a secret lmao
- +1 y
@Bratsondanielle yeah you dont speak for people i know so I'm not sure why its funny that you voted trump and it wasn't a secret "lmaooo"
- +1 y
@Bratsondanielle most of the world outside of America knows whats going on in other countries. I know that's a new concept to get used to, but its very much possible.
- +1 y
That's what I said, right? If you are a little cutsieputsie country you'll see more in terms of the rest of the world, probably mostly focusing on the bigger countries, such as the USA 🇺🇸 where we by the way have freedom of speech, so using the freedom of speech I tell people that I vote Trump.. I do not, however, put Trump stickers on my big heavy American car or fly Trump flags on my house like many many many people do. The "secret" you talk about is most likely communist propaganda
- +1 y
@Bratsondanielle lol you're one of those people who can't stand that other people have different life experiences to you. Its not a small world.
Its not communist propaganda, I literally dated this guy. Please stfu already 😂 - +1 y
You dated president Trump? Damn .. hope Melania doesn't find out
- +1 y
@Bratsondanielle I know you want to be seen as some sort of troll but you're not good at it and even when you're serious you let yourself down. This getting rather tiring.
- +1 y
Troll? I'm not a troll lol I don't think they have internet 🤣
+1 yAs a resident of the UK, I'll just do here:
Pros: Healthcare free at point of use, statutory paid holiday (28 days minimum for full time employee), chances of getting shot minimal, many places of natural or cultural beauty and significance in a smaller land mass.
Cons: Significant damage caused by conservative governments both past and present, developmental funding prioritised for London at the expense of the rest of the country, stagnating wages and a cost of living crisis primarily brought about due to Brexit, If you are in London might get stabbed.00 Reply
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yThere's no place to go in the UK with decent weather most of the year.
The food sucks.
It's expensive.
The women aren't kinky enough and are too proper.
US is better if you find the right place, but it is a lot more racist than the UK.03 Reply

+1 yAt least in the US we can protect ourselves. If someone comes in attacks us with a knife which I heard is prominent in the UK, we will be able to defend ourselves. When you're in a knife fight If you are a bigger person and you have a bigger knife you will be victorious, so the victimwill not be able to defend themselves. If you have a gun It doesn't matter how big the other person is, or even how big they're gun is, It would definitely even out the odds, or even put the victim in favorable odds.

+1 yUK Because universal healthcare access. I was born in the UK and I've spent my whole life living in North England, Edinburgh amd Glawgow areas and fortunately I benefit from our NHS system. If the US fixed a lot of their issues (not to say the UK doesn't have issues also as we do) and added in universal healthcare like the NHS then I may consider the US but not until then.

+1 yAll I can say is that I love the US, imperfections and all. I have lived in another country (not the UK) and have family in other countries. I really feel very thankful to be a U. S. citizen.
My only experience in the UK has been traveling through LHR a handful of times and the level of rudeness was so shocking (every time) that I never want to visit that part of Europe. I know I won't be missed either. 😉00 ReplyThere's good things about the US, and I'm intrigued by it, and American girls, but honestly, the healthcare thing is a problem. Plus your work/life balance. Fuck that shit. I ain't working to live.

Asker+1 yPlease tell me about British girls.
Asker+1 yAre British girls arrogant?
+1 yI'm sure both places have nice and not-so-nice places. I voted for the US only because there's more variety in environments. The UK is just a smaller land mass.

+1 yI would say the UK (specifically Scotland) - free healthcare, free education, free prescriptions, no school shootings, difficult to own a gun so not anyone can go and buy one

+1 yBoth are shit. I’ve always lived in the UK and it’s terrible even in London. But we look at america and think “thank fuck I’m not American”. And I have American friends who hated America too

Asker+1 yWhy?

Why what?
Asker+1 yWhy both are Terrible
- +1 y
For similar reasons really. The politics is absolute shit. The economy is crap. Society is set up to fail anyone who hadn’t got rich parents. Prices are too high wages are too low. Too much crime. So many arseholes. But seeing society it makes sense why there’s so many arseholes
Asker+1 yAnd half of turkey wants to go the US
- +1 y
They’re silly

Wait wait wait ✋ 😳 are you from a muslim country? I changed my mind!!! Please disregard the above answer where I said the USA is the best. UK is definitely better!! Especially for muslimist people especially London where you guys have your own part of the city with a muslim police and your church mosses or whatever. UK is defined best. Here in the USA we don't even talk to the invisible man above the clouds 8 times a day and the girls wear unholy clothes like shorts and stuff... you won't like it!!! Go to the uk trust me. Even though Biden repealed Trump's muslim ban it's still not better here
Asker+1 y@Bratsondanielle well how do you know I am a Muslim? Half of people in turkey are atheists/deists who advocate secularism. I am not muslim, i like freedom
- +1 y
Oh oh cool cool. Well in that case forget the old world and come to the USA greatest country in the world and enjoy the freedom. You can do and say anything you want here. You can own a gun or rifle or both, everyone has a rad car or truck (or two or three - they cost almost nothing) and we are happy and polite as long as you are. You should definitely come to the USA 🇺🇸 we receive way more than a million immigrants a year
Asker+1 y@Bratsondanielle thank you. I will come there one Day. I like you since i was a little kid :) also girls in my City wear shorts and free things too. Dont worry
- +1 y
Oh ok then no problem it's just the girls in those clothbags with a peephole I don't like talking to the invisible man with superpowers who live above the clouds. If you ain't one of those retards then please come come you'll love it here. And I'm glad you always like us. Most people do and most seek a better life here. I have friends from 10 different countries here
Asker+1 y@Bratsondanielle never chatted with an American girl before. Can we please chat Via private a bit? You seem so chatty and nice. Please open the PM box :)

She’s an anti British troll

Sure we can do that or we can just continue here so other people can see us too.. if we do pm immma have to get your name thou right

I wouldn't say I'm anti British I actually feel sorry for the ones of you that were left behind in the old world. You know, sweetheart, you can apply for a visa. I have British friends here believe it or not
- +1 y
@Bratsondanielle I hate to break it to you but the only British thing about me is where I was born. My family are foreign
- +1 y
You're fine don't worry. I have friends form most countries. They're good people.. they've all escaped on a visa
- +1 y
@Bratsondanielle you’ve exhausted your argument and you’re quite boring
- +1 y
Aww I'm sorry 😞 😔 my vacation in London was actually quite boring too except we walked on the Thame River that was nice. Opposite side from big ben and down to the end away from earls Court u know how you have mi5 on your right... there was a nice teaplace halfway we had a cup. It was really pretty at night. The big powerplugs I needed an adapter thou...
- +1 y
@Bratsondanielle if you were at Earl’s Court of course you had a shit time loooool
- +1 y
Lol we were there Actually but we rented a big house in Brighton about 90 minutes away and we saw lots of other stuff. Not just London. But seriously Camden market and the locks were actually quite amazing. That little drink house across the road from the locks. Awesome. Plus I got to ride public transportation that was quite fun. Definitely not an everyday thing here in the land of the free. The green line goes different places. That was kinda weird but maybe green lines are weird. In Tokyo it was called "yamanote " and in Barcelona it stops at "Jaume1 " 😄😄😄😄 omg but anyway... it's quite nice in the English countryside but I don't think I could live there though 🤔
- +1 y
@Bratsondanielle the best part of England is the part where you leave the border I’ll be honest with you I hate the lot of it. City and countryside.
- +1 y
Yeah? Sad.. but you said you immigrated so since you stay I guess its not all bad right?
- +1 y
@Bratsondanielle... aannd this is why the UK is better than the US. The UK does have its racists but nothing as dumb as this.
@Asker just because you're not Muslim doesn't mean you're safe. If your a minority of any sort chances are you're going to meet people like this there. This is just how it is in the US, unless you're in California where things are a bit different - +1 y
@anniisa97 oh I see... England is better because they have different kind of racist 🙄 in gotcha think I'll stay here in freedom and by the way I'm pm with the asker currently and I'm actually not a racist I just don't like women living in clothbags while their men tell the original population what to wear and what to do
- +1 y
@Bratsondanielle Every country has racists. America is well known for being racist, at least outside of America and you're literally the stereotype.
The truth is after 9/11 you guys couldn't stop being victims and move on like every other country that's had terror attacks. You're government wanted to carry on and portray Muslims as the worst people imaginable in your movies and TV shows to ensure that there will always be tension amongst its minorities. You guys are still back where the UK was in the 2000s with your "society". I haven't heard of any other country where racist attack against East Asians were at a rise after covid. You guys have your problems so don't shit on other countries and cultures because you're not any better.
- +1 y
@anniisa97 what a bunch of horse manure that w/ya. What an absolute crock of crap. We're not even thinking about 9/11 anymore and most people don't believe arabs hijacked the planes anyway. You clearly have no understanding of the USA and how we are. Muslims are weird - at least the "real ones" -- you know the ones that lie ass-up jammering 8 times a day or whatever. They are objectively weird. I don't particularly care if you're living a completely normal life, dress normal, no preaching, and you just happen to have an invisible friend with superpowers and I don't care if his name is jesus allah akbar or budha or muhammed or whatever you can have it and I don't care. But when you dress little girls in cloth bags and start telling me what I can wear... I draw the line !!! I have a friend from Copenhagen Denmark who can report how the muskims ( that spilled into Denmark before the government managed to shut the hole via new laws ) the muslims in Denmark throw eggs at the Danish girls for dressing in shorts and tshirt 😳 that's just way too much !!! And by the way why y'all gotta have 6 kids each? It's stupid
- +1 y
@Bratsondanielle How do you have the nerve to call someone else dumb and then say shit like that? 🤣
Like I almost took you seriously, and thought "Ohh ok, she almost shut me up" and then you had to come out with that shit? - +1 y
@Bratsondanielle I didn’t immigrate here, my family did. And I can’t afford to leave
- +1 y
@aquariusmystery you don't have any family in the USA who can help you with a visa? Any family back home in the old country? You should be able to go back home and still be citizen. I have a friend from Denmark who has family in the USA that are going home but she's pregnant and she's waiting for her baby to be born because that will make it an American citizen automatically. I don't know I'm just thinking 🤔 ... @anniisa97 I think u know what I mean thou. If you live a normal life I don't care which friends in the sky you have but extreme people Christian or anything else should objectively stay in the country where their like-minded are
- +1 y
@Bratsondanielle I don’t have family in america and don’t want to go there and the family back home are not nice
- +1 y
Oh shit so you're like stuck huh. Was your home country nice thou, I mean the country itself, ? Why must your family go live in England? You know where you want to be ultimately, I can definitely tell you Tokyo us super nice. We spent 4 weeks there on vacation. It was super cheap too. We stayed at prince of shianagarwa in the Shibuya district. That's on the Yamanote subway line and the Narita airport express also goes right there. I'd say take a vacation there, see if you can do something. There were lots of people wanting me and my friends to stay or work etc. And I think you would love ❤ 😍 💖 Tokyo because you are the perfection type you know. Tokyo is that. Perfect
- +1 y
@Bratsondanielle So basically "I dont kind Muslims as long as they don't act like Muslims. I only respect people if they follow my way of life". See thats whats the typical American way. No respect for anyone. Freedom is only freedom if its by your definition. Forget people's choices, you're only accepted if you "dress and act like us".
No Muslims country inforces kids or even women to cover themselves up the way you're making out. Most muslim countries want modesty but they do not force women to cover themselves up head to toe or even cover their hair. Learn something about other cultures once in a while, you bigot.

@Bratsondanielle it’s hard because places are different on holiday to real life. Not really my family are french and they’re a bit mad too lol
- +1 y
I was on vacation in Paris and it wasn't anything special no. Food was awesome thou. I went to an island corsica or something I think it's French too that was awesome too we stayed at a hotel called le rouges Blanche or blanchs or something that was so nice
To live? I would say US. From my experience people there are nicer.
