Foreign people, do Americans have accents to you?

I remember going on vacation and talking to this guy and we got into the topic of his accents (which was super hot by the way) and he said “well you have an accent too”. I’m from the east coast of America and live in New England, I don’t think I have an accent. What do you guys think?

I'm from England , and Americans have strong drawling accents. Like your voice sounds so loud and confident compared to a Brit. It's actually intriguing to listen to. I must admit I've cultivated a bit of a minor obsession with American accents on girls in my later years. Especially California types. Of course, providing the girl is nice of course!

Many people from New England, especially those from Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire, have particular accents which are recognizable, even to their fellow Americans. People from New York City, Philadelphia, and many parts of New Jersey also have distinct accents.

Although I live in Florida, I'm originally from California, where there is no regional accent. Even so, my foreign friends tell me that I have a very strong American accent.

Of course we do- why would "American" be the default way of speaking English? Even if you went by raw numbers, it'd be the Chinese, not us. And a default accent us still an accent, in any case.

You can also see it with Americans speaking other languages; it's rather distinct from how the English or Irish do it.

Yes. Everyone has some sort of an accent. I guess its normal to feel accentless if you and everyone around you speak in a similar way.
