Can anyone give advice about a possible Nile Cruise I'm thinking about doing?

I assume that you're going through Egypt, and the only thing that caught me off guard was the pooping on the shoreline. Lady literally dropped a deuce where the water meets the sand, and didn't give two shits about me being there.

Prayer time was serious, and it's probably going to be hot, so make sure that you have air conditioning. You should probably check out what else they have to offer, some (and probably most or all) of the tours have some entertainment, if you are into that.

Also, you will probably have a limited amount of time to wander around. The captains are on a strict schedule, so you probably won't several hours to check out some of the sites.

That's all I can remember about the cruise I went on. My parents took us for a vacation.

Been there, done that but that was years ago now.

I remember we boarded at Luxor, cruise down to the Aswan Dam, then returned to Luxor on the opposite side.

Absolutely fabulous trip, with lots of stop offs at several various historic sites.

Back in 2016 I took the train from Luxor to Aswan and then sailed back. Although it was extremely hot; the boat had a canopy which provided lots of shade. I wanted to swim in the Nile and the boatman knew a location where the water was "clean"- by his definition. I went into the river for a short time but did not put my head underwater. A choice experience with no ill effects.

Brokers and hotels will arrange boat rides... for a fee. I advise just going to the docks and finding a boat you like a striking a deal. Bargain the price but remember than the boatman has to make a living. Things were tough in Egypt back in 2016 due to almost no tourists.

Dress like James Bond. Have a pair of reading glasses with a hook nose and a fake mustache whenever you read a book, make sure its Henry Kissinger’s Autobiography. Or We Were Pharos And So Forth

Spontaneously and sporadically speak pig latin, pray five times a day but use a random number generator that tells you when, also pray however you want as long as most people would guess thats what you were doing.

Assuming you are considering Egypt only, the cruises typ. run from Luxor to Aswan Dam. It’s amazing and from what I remember takes 3-4 days to get to Aswan. Stops along the way to temples and historic sites fill the days and sunsets in the boat with a drink in hand can’t be beat. Highly recommend though it’s a rough place to visit and limit the amount of time spent venturing off on your own

DO IT. My grandparents went and they suggested the Nile is best to visit when on a cruise bc you can just relax and enjoy the scenery.


You get to see all of the monuments you would want to see anyway but would have to take separate trips for and that can add up when getting tours and things.
