Have you ever explored abandoned buildings?

Often if I'm in a new place I try explore some abandoned buildings.

As a teen I worked in a mall that had at one point been twice as large. 20 years before, half of it had been shut down and locked away for budget consolidation, with an expectation that it would eventually reopen. Someone had a key to the abandoned part and let a few of us explore. The mall was originally a mirror image with its own set of elevators, a separate food court, and three floors. Very creepy seeing the familiar layout but without the incremental updates. There was no electricity and the only light was from a skylight. The dust was an inch think. Storefronts and food courts had gone bankrupt decades ago. The merchandise was gone but some of the stores had their gates up, some still had sale signs, price labels, racks and mannequins, It was like stepping into another dimension.

Hell yeah i have done that..
I explored to this abandoned mansion with my 2 friends when i was in college and rumor said its haunted and viral..
I had the pics but its on my laptop.. so i just googled it

by the way the view from balcony was soooo pretty tho

I have... it was interesting and a lot of history to learn. The NoHo arts district was where I was doing it in Hollywood. They've torn the old buildings down now but back then it was crazy. Old clubs and stuff like that. I was just a kid and inside of old clubs where I guess the likes of clint eastwood would be (in the books that were still there) was a good place to chill in the dark and smoke some weed with friends.

I always explore! I always try to see whatever I can of an open an occupied building-I mean, not invading private residence areas, but adventuring in public buildings. I also always try to see empty buildings and abandon places! Sounds like we would have fun adventuring together. :-)

As a teenager all the time. Not only abandoned buildings, but also the off-limits sections of large buildings in use (basements, attics...) and also big construction sites. A few times, when we were sure not to get caught, we drove with some of the machinery. Good times. :-)

I worked as a security guard long ago and one assignment was patrolling an amusemant park at night that has been shut down and would be sold and torn down. So I had the opportunity to explore lots of interesting spaces there.

I have. When you explore them it feels like going back in time where it feels like time stops when you see things left behind with the date going way back and how technology has changed but I always make sure I wear a mask due to old buildings not be deleaded and also asbestos

Yes when I was a a kid. Once i ended up going down a deserted road and seeing an old building in the middle of nowhere all by itself. We went inside and looked around. It was some kind on factory and it smelled really bad.

yeah there was a abandoned hotel me and some friends went in there and explored the whole building it was a great experience however the building is gone now but now there is a abandoned soap factory we also went in there but the problem is that its asbestos everywhere so we used gas masks in there it was very creepy we seen some messed up stuff in there

When I was a lot younger, my friends and I explored some abandoned houses in our neighborhood. There were like 2-3 of them at a given year. Does that count? lol

I did when I was younger. A shitload of old farm houses, an old elks lodge from the 1800s, an old mental hospital but only the grounds as the place was locked down like fort knox, old industrial plants and many more I don't recall much about.

I was in an abandoned psychiatric hospital. Man that shit was spooky. Things moved and there wasn't even a breeze. We heard footsteps and voices. I only went through there once. I'm not going back
