I and my husband never had a party, what we did had a belated honeymoon on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii,
I never had a reason to have one. I was engaged once but it was for less than a month because I came to my sense and realized the person I was engaged to wasn't going to be good for me in the long run. I broke the engagement off and got the ring back. Sold it for more than I paid for it. It was a $1000 ring that I some howwas able to get for $400. I think I made at least $200 from selling it.

Neither of us wanted a bachelor or bachelorette party. We thought that getting drunk with strippers was the exact opposite of what we needed to be doing before getting married. We both quit drinking and were honestly excited to get married, have a honeymoon together and we planned to have a baby soon after.
Nothing elaborate. I went out for a meal in an Indian restaurant with a few colleagues. And I remained sober as I don't drink alcohol.
I know this is much more tame than a booze-fuelled girls' weekend in some party hotspot, but it's also significantly cheaper.
