Where are you from and where do you live now (and how do you like where you live now as opposed to where you're from)?

I'm originally from Oregon (USA) but in 2011 I moved to New Mexico. Overall, I'd say I liked New Mexico more because we don't get gloomy rainy days for 8 months of the year and when it does rain, half the time it's a sunshower (it's raining and sunny out at the same time) and that's now like my favorite weather to go outside in. Although the dry air combined with the crazy day-night temperature variation did cause me to have a bit of eczema when I first moved out here.

But lately the summers have become very very hot and now the Pacific Nothwest is turning into a paradise. First California was the go to state, then it was Colorado and now Texas. But I have a feeling that soon it will be Washington and now that I can work remotely, I'm considering moving to back to the pacific Northwest.

Well I was born in Ventura. Then we moved to Colorado, then Arizona, then Colorado again. Then Southern California, and then northern California where I've been living for 2 decades now. So I don't really have one specific place I grew up.

Arizona was probably my least favorite and I vaguely remember that one. I remember Colorado Springs fairly well. It was a nice and friendly town, but one thing I don't miss about it are the winter storms.

Southern California, I had more friends and was closer to the coast.

The place I currently live is probably the best in terms of geography, but shit for social life. But then again we're having to deal with fires and hot summers now. So all the factors combined, I think Colorado Springs was the best.

I'm from Philadelphia, PA, USA, and currently in South Korea. I f*cking HATE that sh*thole of a city and never want to go back there. I'm okay in South Korea for now, but probably would want to go back to the US, post-Biden/Kamala. Maybe Boise, Idaho, or Atlanta, Georgia.

I’ve moved a lot. Came back to one of my family homes to look after my mother her last years. This town was a lovely farming canyon back in the early 80’s, the high school was a dairy.

Unfortunately the man who owned the land died and even though he left in his will and promised to keep the land as is, the kids cashed in.

The population and bringing down off mountains to build has depleted resources and raised the seasonal temps 30+ degrees. We never get snow anymore. But absolutely roadt in summer. Completely changed the area in every way. Shame on those people.

There are several places we’d dream to go. Things are held up at the moment.

We both claim Missouri (high school through post graduate studies for me), and we have lived in Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona. I can always work remotely, but do travel so we need to to be within a couple hours of a major airport. We currently reside in one of these southwestern American states, and live a little far out because my husband's business relies on rangeland/agriculture.

I'm from Sacramento California and now live in Crane Missouri, I'll take this small town of 1,200 people over the chaotic cities in California any day, I liked the weather there better though but I love winter time here... or used to anyway back when it would actually snow and get 3 or 4 feet deep but the last 10 years or so have only brought lite dusting like half inch.

From California and now in the northeast. It’s alright and definitely different. Some things and people here that suck, suck more than the ones that suck in California, but at the same time there are a lot more good, nice, considerate people here
