Depends what type of travel and what country.
Work, Flying. Longest trip so far, toss up between Dubai and northern Finland. Both trips took multiple flights and took just shy of 24 hours.

Scenic or busy metropolitan area, Trains. You can’t beat looking out at the countryside or getting some work done while letting someone else get you there (and then not having to worry about parking. Longest train ride, about 5hrs across the UK.

Independence it travel…. you can’t beat the car. Do and go anywhere you want whenever you feel like it.
Longest single day drive, 22hrs straight. Longest roadtrip, 4 weeks pulling a camper around the US.

Recreational, bicycling. Longest, single day, 165 miles, longest trip, 3days, 225 miles

My favorite method is by far train. Then car. Although, I love flying and the physics, mechanics, and glamour of flying.

Furthest traveled by train is from Connecticut to Washington, D. C. longest plane flight was Detroit, Michigan nonstop to Tokyo, Japan. Over 13 hours.

But, longest overall travelled was steaming on an aircraft carrier from the Arabian Gulf to Japan. Multiple thousand miles and many many days.

Cars would be my favorite, but they're way too expensive. So I use an E-bike to get around South Korea.

I like travelling by car but most of the times I use public transportation (bus and subway) since I don't own a car.
The farthest I travelled was to another continent.
