Let it snow as they say & as for me the only snow I see is on the news. Nine years ago I traded snow on for sand & I love it. With all the snow I guess we can’t bring up global warming this time.

Actually, the Lake Effect is explained as warm air causing evaporation over the Lakes, which then gets hit by the extreme cold of the polar winds coming down. According to the weather gurus it has increased due to climate change and they expect it to continue getting worse.

I'm from Northern NY.

Basically it hasn't snowed like this since I was a kid. We were well known for all the snow due to the lake effect, but the last like 10 years winters have been easy.

That is down south of where I live. Besides they get dumped on by lake affect snow all the time.

The media makes a huge deal about this. Buffalo, at the end of Lake Erie, gets a lot of snow. Yes, this is a lot in one time, but they'll deal with it. I remember a similar Buffalo snowstorm many years ago. The area shut down for 3 days, then got back to normal with huge piles of snow all over the place.

@jimmy2 I spent a lot of my younger years in Western New York. Buffalo is prepared for snow. It won't take that long to resume normalcy.

Yes, that was absolutely insane. The Bills Stadium was burred in snow.
