I like flights with layovers for some reason I feel it gets shorter. from one flight to another one.
I had two flights so far that were 8+ hours long. My flight from Stockholm to California is 2018 was almost 14 hours (direct) and it was so difficult to fall a sleep and stay seated so i started walking in the plane and having small talk with others who wanted to small talk. Back in June this year, we took a flight to Ontario/Toronto CA and it was 9 hours. It felt worse than the flight to the state and i was awake 27 hours on the way to Canada and 26 hours awake on way home, by far the worse jetlag i ever been through. So in this case! Two flights would be nice (Transit) between 2-4 hours, i wouldn't mind it.
Direct flight. Specifically nonstop.
Direct makes stops, but the plane number and aircraft doesn't change and people on the plane might not have to get off if they're traveling onward. They suck.
Layover flights suck worse.
I'll pay for a nonstop flight any day unless the destination airport doesn't have any from where I'm coming from.
If it takes 10hrs and above, i will prefer layover. I’ll be dead sitting in that plane for long period of time. But if above 4 and still below 10, direct flight we go.. ain't got no time to waste the extra hours
I spent 4 hours at O'hair airport. That wasn't fun.

direct 100%. i pay more specifically for it. i'll even wait to travel at times to avoid the layover
i've had too many trips ruined or made tough because of a delays due to a layover
A direct flight is always my preference. I want to get there, and not risk missing a connecting flight due to delays or equipment problems.
Ideally direct, but that's almost impossible to find these days.
If I'm gonna have a layover, I want it to be at least 10 hours long and during the day, so I can go sight-see
Direct is the way to go, I don’t want it to take longer and have to change planes too and luggage get lost
I don't fly anymore but I'd pick direct if I have to fly again
You ALWAYS prefer a direct flight.
A direct flight.
