Do you prefer to travel by car, train or plane?

It depends on where I'm going and how far. But I would say car because I can stop when I want to. And I can see the sights, pull over to check them out or take photos, or even take detours if something unexpected looks interesting. You run across lots of interesting things on the road.

I've driven all over the U. S. and in the Irish Republic. I spent three weeks driving around Germany, France, Belgium, part of England and Wales, and saw lots of things and had wonderful experiences that weren't on my itinerary.

Planes are from point A to point B. The fun begins once you arrive at your destination.

Trains can be okay, but half of the trip is at night when you can't see anything. So, although you get to see some wonderful scenery, the main point, again, is to get from point A to point B.

I travel by truck. I have not been on a plane since before 9/11 and I took the train to NYC in 2008. The train ride was good but if I took my truck I would be able to drive it around once I got there.

How far am I traveling?

I really like to fly, but if I'm going to the hardware store about 4 blocks away, that might be a waste! (If it's not an emergency part needed, I've been known to even use my feet and walk over there.)

Bus travel used to be better, but recently, the prices have shot up and the schedules have become disgustingly long, so that's out for me. When I visited my daughter and family about 700 miles from us, I drove back with the family and flew back. Due to storms clearing out of our landing area, we got help up in holding patterns until we were so low on fuel that we had to divert and be held on the tarmac of an airport about 130 miles out. (At least we got a second package of cookies). They topped off the tanks when we landed, and because they kept the APU on to provide ventilation and electricity while we waited, they had to top us off again after we got clearance to take off for our final destination. But I still like planes.

Trains used to be great 50 years ago, but- like the buses- prices have shot up and the service has declined.

For most of my travel needs, I will simply use my car. At least I'm in control of things there.

Car for sure. Plus its easier to sightsee out the window and make necessary stops. I can't stand how bumpy some train rides feel while others are so fast i get dizzy looking out the window. And planes make my ear pop and i just get crazy headaches

I like the train because I think it’s the safest and most comfortable option. People say airplanes are safe and that may be true, but you feel less safe on one because the plane sometimes gets turbulence and there are horror stories about them over the news a lot.

When I travel by car, I have absolute control over my schedule and I never worry about my luggage getting lost. That's the best option for me unless it is a cross country trip.

I actually enjoy traveling by plane as long as I’m using a nice airline.

In Asia, traveling with Singapore Airlines for example is pretty nice.

I have yet to try Delta though, so I wonder how that compares. 🤔

Depends on the distance. Around town, walk or train. Up to 300 miles (500 km) away, car. More than 300 miles (500 km) away, plane.

Plane, but that’s expensive. Never been on a train. Don’t mind car travel aslong as the trip is less than 3 hours, as I get bad car sickness.
