The trick is to book tickets to places others would not go during that time. For example, I’m currently in Europe cause tickets are dirt cheap from Canada. But next month, I’m going to Namibia for the month. Again because tickets are cheap from Europe and it’s not the travel high season. I’ll be in Canada Christmas time cause everywhere else is stupid expensive. Then go elsewhere in January time.

I definitely enjoy the cold and snowy winters the Rockies provide, but am alone in that opinion within my home🤣. Chasing cool temps in the summer is ideal (Disneyworld last August was a bear).

My trips are very inconsistent. It's basically whatever I'm in the mood for or whatever is cheaper. But I will say this, when summer comes, I do tend to crave more mountainous areas and mild climate coastal areas. But come winter, I crave more tropical or desert environments.

I have a vacation house and only use it in the summer so it is mostly warm. Sometimes I do go up in the winter to go snow shoeing but haven't since covid.

I don't travel anymore/these days, but when I did, I would always choose shoulder season. I hate hot weather and crowds. I'd rather walk in the rain. It's worth the risk. May and October are shoulder.

I am a big fan of cool weather, as well as winter destination spots. When the kids get older, we will certainly sojourn further north in the northern hemisphere and find a cooler summer vacation spot. Right now they're young, and warm beaches are their favorite.

We check the temperature range and try to go when it isn't too hot or raining.

We'd get along well, although I'm not a downhill skier, just barely learning cross country. Winter camping is terrifically peaceful with the right gear (and friends).

They're generally not tropical, but we aim. for places that aren't as extreme in temperature as here. So warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
