Compared to America the best in the world.

Some of the Europeans are annoying but I do enjoy Europe and have been there about 70 times I would guess on business and pleasure. The history is great, wonderful restaurants, some amazing cities, beautiful sights such as the Alps. I really enjoy it there.

Looking at your update, compared to America I would have to break it down by segment. Natural beauty would be the US. Food would be Europe. Fun and night life would be the US by a lot. History would be Europe. Value for your money the US.

No, Europe is not overrated, since that is too broad to say. You'd have to narrow down and say specifically what is overrated, since you are talking about a lot of countries here. They each have their own cultures with centuries of history.
