What is your best travel hack, tip, or advice for a newbie traveler who is traveling for the first time?

Ship your luggage. You can FedEx your suitcase to the hotel. They will pick it up at your house and it will be at the hotel waiting for you. Ship it a few days in advance so it’s less expensive. Then you can track it to make sure it’s there. You won’t have to waist time in security and baggage claim or worry about lost luggage and also dragging a heavy suitcase around the airport. Then when you go back home Fedex it back. They will pick it up at the hotel.

-Travel light
-If travelling abroad, procure a local phone number or portable internet to stay connected and save you from expensive phone bills
-Always carry medicine with you (for headaches and diahrrea at least). Sometimes it is hard or expensive to procure them in case of an emergency

Order a cup of tea before a meal. The water will have been boiled making it ideal for cleaning your knife and fork.

Never use the kettle in a hotel room because men pee in them.

Learn how to say "can you speak slowly please.". They'll immediately switch to English but will respect you didn't ask them too.

If you are going on a tour, get in shape for it. Do lots of aerobics to build stamina and do compound exercises to build core strength.

Pack light unless you want to lug around heavy stuff I guess. Maybe try vacuum sealed bags for your clothes.

I agree 100% Packing light is a must, you can always find a washer and dryer somewhere, or worst case scenario you can wash them in your bathroom sink and hang them to dry.

-Download offline maps for easy access and make copies of important documents, such as your passport
