California vs Hawaii. Which state would YOU rather live in?

I’m going with Cali. Northern California to be exact

Hmm that's a tough call. California and Hawaii are both sick places. If I had to pick, I think I'd choose California though. A few reasons why:

- Weather - Don't get me wrong, Hawaii's weather is awesome too, but Northern Cali has a way better variety. You get the beach in the summer but it's not hot as balls all year round like Hawaii. Plus you can snowboard/ski in the winter which would be sick.

- Activities - Cali just has more shit to do I think. Better hiking, more cities to explore, Tahoe is right there, music festivals, sports, you name it. Hawaii's chill but it might get a little small after a while.

- Girls - No disrespect to the Hawaiian girls cause they're fire, but SoCal girls. Need I say more?

- Career - it seems like more opportunities in Cali if I wanted to start a business or career after high school. Tech companies and shit.

Don't get me wrong, living in Hawaii would be a dream too. But if I had to pick one, I think Northern Cali would be a cooler spot to settle down long-term. Still be close to a major city but have the nature and outdoors too. You can't go wrong with either though bro, they're both legendary places.

If you'd get rid of all the psychos living there and all the high prices of everything, I'd go to Calif.. Hawaii would be great to visit but, I don't think I'd wanna live on an island. Calif. just got hit with massive waves that could probably sink Hawaii!

I've basically figured out by moving around a lot that no place is perfect. You make the best of what the state has to offer and learn to ignore the bad things about it

Hmm tough one. Both are beautiful and liberal states. Maybe California, cause it offers more options than Hawaii. I'd imagine Hawaii could feel a bit isolated.

Both have some attractive features. But in California one can jump in a car and travel to many wonderful places. In Hawaii if you jump in a car and travel you go in a circle and always end up back where you started.

I've lived in both. I would take California, as in Hawaii your recreation is pretty much limited to beach life. Which is fine, but only being able to drive 20 miles in one direction just doesn't feel right.

Hawaii, but only on one of the smaller islands, away from the tourists on Oahu and the big island Hawaii

I have lived in Newport Beach, California my entire life. During some months I can surf and snow ski on the same day just by driving a few hours.
