Which weekday is best to buy an airplane ticket?

There are different days that offer a better price, from what I've read. I know about seasons to go to a place, that are better priced too. Does anyone here know or has had the experience?

Avoid Monday and Friday, that's when most business people fly and their willingness to pay higher prices, plus the greater demand, increases prices for us all. Weekends are usually higher priced as well, with airlines typically flying fewer routes, and increased demand by vacationers, either ending or starting their vacations.

That leaves Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday as typically the lowest prices.

But that's not always true. Best is to shop around, try different airlines, and think about something other than non-stop routes, to find the best deal.

Yes, and going out.
Basically, people fly the most on Sundays, Mondays, and Fridays.
This is because you primarily have two kinds of travelers:
Business
Pleasure

Business travelers will often spend a week at a location, so they might fly out either Sunday or Monday and then return maybe Thursday, but usually Friday, or, if they want a day off in that location, fly home on Sunday.

Mostly similar reasons for vacation travelers too. Often, they fly out on a Friday and come home on a Sunday.

So, these people are usually at wherever they were going to go by Tuesday or by Saturday. This is why these are light days for the airlines. On Monday holidays, Tuesday might be a bit busier, so Wednesday would be good.

I was always told Tuesday is the cheap day. I've never really looked into it though.
