It’s considered one of the most dangerous cities in the world
I lived 30 miles north of it for 10 years and didn't go. Not so much out of caution as in lack of interest. I went when I was younger, but when it got bad a lot of the tourism dried up and something like 70% of the shops on Revolution closed up. Not much into drinking in sleazy bars these days so not much motivation to make the trip.
Guy (who was Latino) I used to work with went down south of there regularly with friends to go surfing, until the last time he went when someone came in the tent with a gun and robbed them. He doesn't do that anymore.
I have heard there are some good microbreweries there now, or at least were before Covid. Not sure what they use for water...

I could go there for a few hours just to say I went, but I’ve seen all those movies. It’s complete trash trafficking and dangerous and you can get kidnapped and I stand out like a sore thumb with the way I look. Real pale guy, walking around easy to be spotted as a foreigner
Not a chance. I'll spend my time and money in a place the locals know how to behave like humans.
Been there and I had a blast. Would go again in a heartbeat.

Yes, I would go for a few days just to check it out.
The only reason I'd ever take a trip to Tijuana is if I lived in San Diego and wanted some some authentic Mexican food. But since I don't, f no.
Used to live in San Diego. Been to TJ often. Every place is dangerous nowadays.
Not anytime soon. I like Mexico but there are definitely a lot of areas to stay away from
