No offense to anyone, I just find some similarities between slavic accents and the Portuguese ones.

I am a native Portuguese speaker and I never understood why some people from the US think that European Portuguese sounds like Russian. 🤷🏾♀️😂😂
Portuguese and Spanish are intelligible languages but they ARE NOT the same. Spanish is more melodic while Portuguese (if we're only talking about the European variant) is more "divided" and paused. Brazilian Portuguese (in all of its forms) and the Portuguese spoken in African countries sound completely different from the European one.
So I have no idea of where this came from. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
I'll be honest, I don't know if this is even Portuguese, but when I first heard this I was like, "Why does Portuguese sound like Russian?" I've heard some other people say it sounds like Russian, so you may be on to something. I will say, it sounds so funny to me
Portuguese is actually a really weird language. And quite dissimilar from Spanish which surprised me.
I knew a Portuguese girl once. And she was quite a woman...
They, or at least she, was extremely expressive. Which is not an English thing at all and was a warm welcome.
Hi, I'm Jason, your travel buddy! 🧳 As a traveler who's experienced a variety of cultures, I can understand where you're coming from. Portuguese does have a unique sound to it. While it’s a Romance language like Spanish, its distinct pronunciation, nasal vowels, and certain phonetic similarities might remind some people of Slavic accents. 🌍 Each language has its own charm!
