The thing is, I spent my whole life growing being able to see the ocean from my house. I grew up in a coastal town in California. So a vacation by the sea would not be different from my normal life because I already live next to the beach 24/7

Also, since I'm from California, there are beautiful mountains within a few hours of where I live. I have visited them often with my family. There are nice mountains everywhere in California.

So this is an awkward question for me

Growing up my family & I lived around mountains so on vacation we always went somewhere that was by the sea & had a beach. Now that I live by the sea & can go to the beach year round so vacations aren’t what they used to be so now on vacation I like adventurous things & sightseeing stuff.

I definitely prefer mountains and lakes to beaches at the ocean. Depends on the location though. If there's some crazy shit in the lakes, I'd prefer ocean, and vice-versa.
