OMG, so let me spill the tea about my fave vacay spot near glasgow

So there's this place called **Loch Lomond**, and it's literally like a scene from a movie! 🚣‍♀️🌅 First of all, the views? INSANE! Like, you got mountains and water all vibin’ together. Perfect for selfies, LOL! 🤳📸

Whenever I go there, it’s just super chill vibes, ya know? 🌈 You can paddleboard, kayak, or just hang out by the water with your mates and snap the cutest pics! The sunsets hit different there, like, absolute aesthetic goals! 🌅😍

And don’t even get me started on the snacks! 🍕🍦 You can grab some fish and chips or ice cream while just chilling on the grass, soaking up the good feels. It's like a mini picnic party every time! 😋✨

What’s cool is I can just totally zone out, listen to my fave tunes, and forget about school drama and all that. Like, pure bliss! 😌🌟 I always come back home with mad memories and good vibes.

So there you have it! Loch Lomond is where my heart's at when I wanna relax and have a fab time! 💖🏞️ 10/10 would recommend!

I don't have a particular spot that I can say "now this is the place where I want to come over and over again" albeit a few European cities fulfill that desire to revisit them occasionally.

I am referring her in particular to Vienna in Austria, Budapest in Hungary, Prague in the Czech Republic. Close to those top destinations of mine would be Madrid, Rome and Florence.

I am an active person and I need to be busy with myself. Those cities have the museums, the architecture, the history that attract me like a mosquito to a human being.

What I cannot do is to relax on a beach for longer than 1 full day. I get antsy to discover things and try new foods. What better place than an old fashioned European city to give me what I seek.

Oh heck yes! I LOVE really old historic cities, with beautiful museums. Especially when you don’t have to pay to get inside, like most public museums in England. Rome charges EU adult citizens €2.00, although children under 18 are free. I’ve always have a love of traveling. I can't wait to graduate, and take my boards. When I pass, I’m definitely taking my fiancé on a trip around Europe, so he can see what inspired my love of history, art, and culture.

Charleston, SC. It is about a 4 hour drive from my home. It is one of the oldest Southern cities. St. Augustine is older and much closer to me, but I have been there many times.

Charleston is a beautiful city, it is full of history, and it has great restaurants.

OMG, I LOVE St. Augustine! It’s the oldest city in the United States it was founded 1565, a full 42 years before the pilgrims founded Jamestown, and 55 years before Plymouth rock, the Spanish established a colony at St. Augustine. It’s the oldest continuously occupied city in N. America! So much history, I absolutely LOVE it!

I just got back from NC last night, and had although I didn't get to visit Boone or Blowing Rock in the highlands this time, I have been there and I absolutely love it! I’ve never been to St Petersburg beach, although I have been to St. Pete as well as Tampa. Some parts of it are beautiful. Great choices all!

@CrazyGirl2 It was a very unique place when I was a kid. There were no restaurants and only one little grocery store. There were no cops or firefighter on the island. If there was a big problem or a fire a crew from the mainland had to come over on the fireboat. My friends and I used to do stuff you never could get away with on the mainland. I was 14 and driving my uncle's car all over the island.

Yes you've mentioned much of this in our DM’s. I envy you, I would love to buy a private island, Lee is completely against it, but I think it would be SO cool. I know there are several available in the Bahamas, and in St. Nevis, and St. Kitts. But I’m sure they will be long sold by the time I get my trust fund!

@CrazyGirl2 This was really not a private island. It was in fact an Army installation during WW2. There are still bunkers remaining on the back shore. My family's house was a renovated officer's quarters. Later in the 1950s it became a welfare colony for the city. Now rich people have been buying most of the homes and trying to turn it into another Marthas Vineyard.

While it’s not my idea of a favorite vacation, I do know quite a few people who absolutely LOVE camping. To them, there is no place that they would rather be. They tell me that it is as relaxing, as it is beautiful. Sometimes I wish that I was of the temperament to be able to enjoy camping. it sounds wonderful to be surrounded by the bucolic scenery of nature. I'm just too afraid of snakes, spiders and well… pretty much everything else that lives in the woods.

@Jamie05rhs I AM a Jeep Owner! But I can go off-roading, and not actually sleep out there! I like off-roading, not mudding. Also I wear boots that provide grip if I need to get out, and are snake-bite proof, and I wear pants that tie at the bottom so nothing can crawl up my legs! I mean, I love swimming, and sunbathing at the beach, but I’ve never actually slept IN the ocean or on the beach for a week. LOL 🤣

I can enjoy nature as I described above, without camping out there. I’ll do it in the Mojave desert, on a long off-road trail-crawl, but not in the swamps of Florida. There’s too many things in the woods and swamps of Florida that can kill you! Especially Coral and Cotton Mouth snakes! Which are highly aggressive, and will chase you! At least Rattlesnakes bite as a last resort.

@Jamie05rhs Yes, I don’t know why that’s so funny. I’m extremely busy, and I REALLY look forward to spending 8 to 10 hrs driving trails, then re-inflating my tires and driving home. I genuinely LOVE driving through trails in my Jeep. I’m sorry if my not wanting to camp in 90º temps with near 100% humidity, in a place that rains nearly every afternoon for 6 mos a year, with alligators, and venomous (and highly aggressive) snakes, not to mention venomous spiders is somehow a joke to you, but I am a woman, so I’m not concerned about people thinking how “manly” I am, and at LEAST I actually go out there and spend the day having fun with men and women who also enjoy spending a day with friends, trailing and light rock climbing, and who don’t mock people for not camping out there. Oh, and no, we absolutely do trail at night as well, we just don’t sleep out there.

Based on your definition, I'll change my answer to yes, I have been on day vacations to theme parks (theme parks in PA), and have been camping a couple of times, and have been on field trips.
