Probably Los Angeles. Austin, Texas was cool too, but really just offered me excellent BBQ and a great bar scene.

LA had so much more to it, the beaches, the city, just driving around and seeing all the streets that got referenced in the gangsta rap I listened to when I was a teenager😂 Got some really good soul food, incredible Mexican food, beautiful women everywhere, and that duality of Grimy LA vs Hollywood LA, I loved it. Did not love the traffic, lmao, that would make living there challenging, but it’s not all that much better here in Boston, haha. Although I love rain, and I think I’d miss it too much to live in SoCal.

That's a tough one. Off the top of my head I'd say Yellowstone or Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon. Also Monument Valley.

Parts of the Big Sur coast are pretty darn nice.

The coastal redwoods are a must see, but there is not much to do there for more than a day or so.

New England in the fall. Since I have always lived in California, I found it magical. The fall colors; small towns with white church steeples; farm stands; crisp, fresh apple cider; Amish country; ... Plus there were the inexpensive lobster dinners.

Tennessee is pretty good, but it lacks a seashore. I consider it to be the rest of North Carolina. Together, they would make the best state in the country that has everything from Palms to Pumas. I have lived in both and when I move to Florida (when I retire), I will miss both.

I am a huge fan of Tennessee myself.

The most jaw-dropping sights that I've seen in the U. S. were Crater Lake in Oregon and Mount Rushmore in SD.

But I still prefer those good old Tennessee hills.
