September to December is rainy season. It's rained almost every day for the last 3 weeks and they just got hammered with 3 typhoons in the last 2 weeks. But they start celebrating Christmas Sept 1 and it's very festive. Jan to March is much better weather and then it gets really hot April to August. I've traveled all over the Philippines and it's a lot of fun. Find a fiesta to attend because nobody parties better than Filipinos. Stay away from Mindanao especially the southern and western areas. Everywhere else is very safe
