Deciduous forest

Technically speaking all the woodland here qualifies as temperate rainforest but we've only got fragments left of what once was. It would be fantastic if it was restored. I like woodland in general although I prefer the diversity you get in broadleaf woods above that of conifers

No. Originally the government wanted us to plant trees on 5% of our land regardless of land use or if it could actually support trees. I'd prefer a scientific rather than government led approach where ecologists looked at where mass planting could take place and not just something where a minister could take credit for planting a million trees which only existed on a piece of paper in his office

We have mostly deciduous forests where I live and surrounding areas, including a huge national park about an hour from where I live. Great for backpacking and camping.
