You can mention ONE travel experience in a conversation. More than that is bragging. You can talk about ONE book you've read or show you've seen. More than that is bragging. (There's more but you get the general idea.)
It could be seen that way, and people can be very jealous of the well travelled.
It can be but that is very context driven. People like to talk about themselves and if your communication is strictly about you and not interactive, that is boring no matter the subject.
