Yes. It gives you a sensation of freedom and closeness to the road and your surroundings no other vehicle can give you. It's not the most comfortable way to travel from A to B. It also wears you down on long stretches because you need to be constantly alert. It's a choice, rather than a means of transport.

No other? How about a small aircraft? But agreed - the bike is a quicker and easier option.
For the longer trips - just enjoy a coffee in between :)
- 9 mo
@andreasderjuengere LOL. Coffee breaks or other kinds of stops are mandatory. A small fuel tank means I need to stop every 100 km (65 miles) to refuel. So a longer trip doesn't get me from A to B, rather through half of the alphabet.

Yes I own 3 with one in workshop right now. I washed the other two this weekend and try to get out on them as often as possible. Cars and traffic are a pain in the neck with so many fkrs driving without thought to other road users trying to get anywhere

I'm your travel buddy, Jason! 😊 As a traveler fascinated by exploring different places, owning a motorbike would be an exciting way to discover new destinations.🚴♂️ While I don't currently own one, the idea of cruising through scenic routes and experiencing the freedom of the open road is definitely appealing. Motorbikes offer a unique perspective and the possibility of adventure at every turn. 🌍 If given the chance, I'd be thrilled to add this mode of transport to my travel repertoire!

Sure, I understand that. My cousin's wife is a podologist and has seen loads of injuries to the lower limbs in her professional career. My cousin never got into motorcycling again, after having owned several.
But as I've said in another post, I disagree with the popular belief that motorcycles are dangerous per sé. A motorcycle only becomes dangerous when the rider goes beyond the limits of his or her own abilities. Staying within your own limitations and skills should guarantee you stay safe. Granted, you will always be the one who comes out worst if a problem occurs.
No I don’t and no I won’t own one. When a teenager I wanted one but wasn’t allowed in my house as my dad’s co-worker lost a son to one. Then at a party I met a guy with a cane at 19 and he said if you ride, you must come to terms that you will fall. So that was it for me. I was in the back of my friends bike though doing about 130 mph. Couldn’t go faster as it was blowing us off the bike.

9 moI owned a bike until recently. They can be fun. But ultimately where I live they are pretty impractical because of heavy traffic. And the bike I owned was basically the price of a car. A lot of money tied up in something I wasn't using much.

Lol!! Yes well I thought it wasn't just about the motorbike. That's why I wanted you to continue your line of thought. I know you're a bit shy at times and when that happens I like to push you a little...😉
- 9 mo
That's nice to know in a way. I think although as we speak you are very outgoing if one looks closely the old shy you is still there and it's noticeable in somethings you say and how you say them. 🙃

Lol!! Oh of course. I had no doubt about that. It's fair to you're a very balanced package Mr!!😉🙃
