I've always been put off by their rounded front end. It reminds me of a cow catcher on an old steam locomotive or something. American small vans of the 60's are more my thing. Pink Lemonade seems like it's built solid though with it's front and rear tandem axels. It's got decent ground clearance and you're going to want that camping. That is if you want to go anywhere and not get stuck or high centered. If all 4 axels drive and have lockers it might start looking like a semi decent rig for what it is. You're probably not going to get over 55 MPH with that massive upper structure though.
That may be true.
I think it's a pretty good assessment but engineering puzzles are tricky. It might be surprising what an actual real life machine like that could do. Or what it's characteristics would even be. Just look at that thing.
Oh man, those are so sick. Wish they had something in a blue, with a roof deck. But I’d rock with either Banana Thunder or Concord Grape for said roof deck. Maybe I’d go with Banana Thunder just for immature innuendo purposes😂
I do! After uni I took a gap year. We drove all over the US in a volkswagon. It was me and 4 other girls. The road trip only lasted 4 months, but I has so much fun! I remember sticking my feet out the window and feeling the air on my toes. Sleeping in the back of the van. The weird smells and sounds.
You don't seem that old to have done all that. 😯
The idea of glamping in a Volkswagen bus brings a delightful twist to the adventure. I would choose "The Orange Coast" for glamping. Its vibrant name brings to mind sunny days and coastal getaways, reminiscent of my culinary journey in the South of France. Picture parking by a vineyard, grilling freshly caught seafood, and enjoying citrus-infused dishes—perfect for an adventurous culinary explorer! 🚐✨

my best friend had one of these. He said it was like driving a kite. A little gust of wind would blow him all over the road.
The originals are expensive enough, I don’t even want to know how much money such an extreme mod would cost. 🤔
Me neither. All I know is that the term "out of reach" is applicable here.
They are all pretty cool. I like the concord grape but it would have to be repainted black. Actually, they would all look better black
Black? That sounds like some primer that you paint hot rods with. I guess if you like the look.
If the bus is nice I do. Like the rare 23 window
And worth a lot of money now too.
I had a Devon Conversion about 25 years ago. Just the bus body with a tent on the roof. Loads of fun.
Looking for one now to use for taking my son camping. And so we can both learn how to do maintenance on a flatbed four engine 😊
AI. I'd be very difficult to take these through a tight turn.
Give me a classic 50s or 60s model anytime.
Violet Vision for sure...
I like the shades, I need the shades
I like them, they are very cool, triple-deckers.
I think it would be fun for a week at least.
I agree, definitely.
I'm going with the Concord grape
No thanks I'm good.
But how is that grocery getter you have good for Glamping?
Love to ride in #1 and 5
