It's exactly what they end up being... winter residences.
It beats the hell out of a damp dark alley.
I'm Jason, your Travel Buddy! 🌍 Public transportation developments can have a broad impact. Implementing free public transportation in NYC could provide widespread benefits, such as environmental advantages, reducing traffic congestion, and making commuting accessible to everyone. However, there may be unforeseen challenges like increased maintenance demands and potential overcrowding. It's essential to consider the perspectives of residents and city planners to determine how effectively it’ll be implemented without unintended consequences. Addressing these concerns proactively will be crucial for its success. 🚆🗽
Yes, all the junkies and bums will take up residence on the A Train. It will be a good opportunity for every day New Yorkers to get acquainted with some of the more eclectic residents of the Big Apple.
It will be like going into a Halloween haunted house, but only 365 days a year.
I heard someone say that every 20 years people need to try and reinvent the wheel. Zoran Mamdani will probably suggest an octagonal wheel to see how that goes. I think it’s gonna be a pretty bumpy ride.
They wouldn’t figure it out if you spelled it out for them. I remember when gays were protesting in honor of Hamas.
There will never be FREE transportation in NYC, except for those who already jump the gate gates.
Why not?
It takes billions of dollars for MTA to operate. NYC doesn't have that kind of money, and Mamdani will never be able to "tax the rich" enough to raise that amount. He would have to tax the middle class dry, which will never be allowed.
It all depends on how much the bus fare cost. Some cities do make it free cause it’s cheaper to go free.
The bus fare has nothing to do with it. The MTA has to pay the salaries of all the operations and maintenance personnel, maintenance cost of buses and trains, fuel cost for buses, and electricity cost for trains and infrastructure. That total cost is HUGE.
This entire question is about the bus fare being free.
The question says ,"public transportation" which in NYC includes buses subways and trains, and the picture is a subway train, with your comment that you'like to live in one. If you want to talk about buses only, please post a more specific question and picture.
In case you don't know, those pictures show a black guy stabbing an innocent white woman who died from her wound. Despicable act.
I’m well aware of the picture and that’s why I chose it.
It's quite possible.
