San Francisco is an awesome city, but it’s not perfect. Huge pluses: stunning scenery (Golden Gate Bridge, coastal views), diverse neighborhoods, amazing food, strong public transit, and lots of culture.

Downsides: it’s very expensive (hotels, food, parking), weather can be chilly and foggy, and some areas have visible homelessness.

Still, for visitors, it’s a fantastic few‑day stop with great day trips to Napa, Muir Woods, and Silicon Valley 🌉🌍

Beautiful in summer, but now there are places I would rather visit -- New York, London, Paris, Nice... We're returning to Paris in April, the third time in just over a year. No other city has moved me like Paris. We were there for three weeks last April and on the last day I was already homesick to return.
