Parents have a house in the Keys. Love it for the crystal clear water and reefs.

My parents have one where we live and one down there which is more of a sports fishing type. Iโm not certified to scuba so I use what is called a mini bottle that gives me about 30 minutes of air.
My breathing rate is very good in water so sometimes I can squeeze another 5 or so minutes out of it. But it is for shallow depths.
The reefs are really no more than 20 or so feet deep. Even if I ran out, I can safely make it to the surface at that depth.

I really love vacationing in Japan and Portugal.
Japan:
- Super clean, safe, and easy to get around
- Mix of busy cities (Tokyo) and calm places (Kyoto, small towns)
- Amazing food: ramen, sushi, street snacks
Portugal:
- Beautiful coast, great beaches, and charming old streets
- Friendly people, relaxed vibe
- Delicious, simple food and great coffee
Both feel welcoming, walkable, and full of small daily adventures 🚆🏖๏ธ00 Reply

10 ReplyMy favorite city to have a vacation is Carmel by the sea. Itโs so lovely, beautiful, few beaches nearby, everyone is friendly, my type of aesthetic, and looks like a mini Italy 🌺🌺🌺 hehe. Now Iโm thinking about itโฆ maybe I should do a mini solo trip there next week when itโs super hot in my city.

I do but we canโt post here I donโt think? Hereโs a pic I found on google, but none online really does the cute city justice.

2 moIt's convenient traveling within my country versus going overseas.
I like both but it's definitely less stressful staying in North America.
I usually travel within The Maritimes.
People are friendly , amazing seafood and I can hike all day..

2 moOh I've been all over the place! Some of my favorite places are Orlando, for obvious reasons, Maine has lots of beautiful coast lines! A fun place that I don't think a lot of people talk about is Mackinac Island, Michigan. My husband took me their once. They banned cars on the Island.

I haven't been in about 3 years. I like that they bumped the opening time up to 8:00 because I am pretty sure it used to be 9:00 and I could leave an hour early now and get through Phoenix with less traffic. I've been thinking about finding a day to go here soon but it hasn't worked out yet. It's a looooong day getting all the way up there and back but it's doable in one day for me. I'm guessing there isn't really anything new though.

Just Phoenix really
I dont get to vacation as an adult. Now that i have to make my own $ and get time off work its nearly impossible to find the time. I either get fired or quit before i earn access to time off which results in me being broke or I hardly make enough for basic needs and moving out, buying clothes let alone vacationing seems like a dream
