Yeah, I’ve been to a few sea beach parties, and they’re amazing when done right 😎🌊

I have been to many. Some were a bunch of underage kids drinking beer and hanging out. We had 4th of July bon fires that were actually pretty awesome. Sometimes we would burn a tire. Once somebody found a rowboat that washed up and we burned that.

Starting in high school (1970) when my friends and I had cars, we had lots of beach parties at night. I was in southern California and we would usually go to Bolsa Chica, near Huntington Beach.
Back then, we could park right on Pacific Coast Highway and hike down the cliffs to the beach.
There were no curfews and cops didn't have ATVs to patrol.
There were concrete fire pits spaced along the beach.
So often a dozen or more of us guys and girls would go there, bring beer and weed, build a fire and party like Vikings for hours. The only music then was transistor radios. I usually brought my acoustic guitar.
Those were really good times. Completely carefree.

A few years later, they built a parking lot with a gate and entrance fee. They close the gate at 9:00 and it's illegal to be in the beach after 10:00. No more parking on the highway. Cops on ATVs patrol to prohibit illicit activities like sex and alcohol. Fucking Nazi ass holes.

I've been to daytime beach parties where we made hot dogs, picnic food and s'mores, played frizbee and football, surfed, belly boarded, body surfed and played in the water. Those were often larger gatherings with entire families.

In high school I threw a couple parties on the beach. It was a pain carrying coolers of jungle juice and kegs in the sand for like a mile or two in the dark where we could have a party all night outside the view of police that might come up to the pavilion on patrol. You're limited to what you can ruck out... We carried the booze, red cups, boom box, and some lights and glow sticks. We made money at it, but they were not our biggest parties. Same as most keg parties. Alcohol, weed, music, girls, and what not... Have fun, drink for free, and walk away with a little extra cash for setting it up.

No, I've only ever been to a sea-based beach once or twice in my life back in spring of `77.
I HAVE been to a couple of lake-based beach parties but, mostly, the parties took place about a block away from the water and I was usually on stage, at the time. Our sister band in Erie; My 3 Scum, started their own record label, Eerie Records and would have annual label parties next to the beach of Lake Erie.
