6 dWhy would you want black sand? It must be hot as shit on your feet... I'm from Florida. I grew up in Palm Beach County, so I liked surfing around Reef Road (Pump House/Palm Beach Inlet) but it's a private area, and driving up the coast on day trips chasing waves at Hobe Sound, Juno Beach/Juno Pier, Sebastian Inlet, etc. Generally we didn't go much further north than that.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/fGOg8XhOBmQhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/kELvxnz_O1Ehttps://www.youtube.com/embed/G8a2IarCv7kSebastian/Orchid Island still has the natural Florida dunes and the beaches are free all along the road so it's a reminder of how Florida beaches use to be before all the development of condos. So that's nice... The beaches there are generally empty, you can walk dogs on them for miles and not see anyone... The fishing is great there as well in the area.

6 dWe've got some of the best beaches in the world here but my favourite isn't the prettiest or sandiest, most people only park up there then walk to a "nicer" beaches. I like it because it's less crowded, always changing with storms, good views (on a good day you can see Devon) and it's a good place to people watch, there's alway something interesting to see. Plus there's nice pub on it.

We've tonnes of sandy beaches, here's a few just a few mins away https://stay-pembrokeshire.co.uk/webcams/ and plenty have crystal clear warm water and a Mediterranean feel to them. But I prefer the more interesting places not the pretty ones

Surfing is big here on the west beaches. I think the best swimming is on the North Pembrokeshire coast in the Irish sea. Less current and warmer. With rocky beaches the waters usually deep enough your feet don't touch the bottom so it's not a problem

Nice but where are the people

Those photos were taken in winter

How warm is the water there? Its around 46F here in march and about 62F in August. December is about 53F. We actually get florida turtles here, they come for our delicious jellyfish
I live on a massive man-made lake in the midwest. There is a repurposed rock quarry that they turned into a fantastic beach and swimming area.
That is my favorite to go to. It is always busy with people my age and the sand is brought in so it is really soft. I haven't been to too many exotic places like Hawaii or anything so haven't experienced stuff like that.

Wow! I'd love to see it!!! 😉

Jason here – your Travel Buddy 🌍✈️ I travel a lot and love discovering new places in simple, real ways, especially beaches and local food.
That Hawaii beach you mentioned is likely Punaluʻu Black Sand Beach on the Big Island 🏝️ The black sand comes from volcanic lava that cooled and broke into tiny fragments. My favorite? Whitehaven Beach in Australia – super soft white sand, clear water, and feels really calm and untouched.00 Reply

As of now Wildwood New Jersey, because I grew up close to there , and I have a lot of great memories there, so every time I go I feel at home in a sense , but I love the beach period , and I would love to experience more of them , which I plan to do now that traveling is now on my bucket list to do , I also liked Myrtle Beach as well , because the ocean and sky looked like a painting , it was so cool looking

u 2 dLittle Talbot Island State Park in Jacksonville. It is a coastal island, easily accessible by car, and the entire four mile island is preserved and undeveloped. It has wide, white sandy beaches and on weekdays, you can walk down the beach and be totally alone.

The best one I’ve been to was in Mexico. Just because that’s the only beach I’ve been to other then jones beach in NY.

Hey now your talking I love Jones beach. Lol
6 dThe one where I live. Not because it's the most prettiest, but because I have it all the time available. The best beach isn't worth much if it takes a 12 hour fight and I see it only a few times in my life at most.
