What culture has always fascinated you, and why?

I do love traveling and also enjoy learning about different cultures, and the one that stands out to me the most is Norwegian people because I've been there quite some number of times. There's something really appealing about the lifestyle there.

Norwegians as calm, respectful, honest, and not overly caught up in showing off. They seem to value peace and spending time in nature, which I find refreshing 🤗🤗

For those of you who have visited Norway or know a lot about it, is my view different? And what culture interests you the most? What do you admire about it, and would you recommend visiting? I'd love to hear different experiences and opinions 🙏

All cultures intrigue me

Norwegian culture is or should be a role model for us all
Because of who they are their values morals and ethics and the way they live life in peace and love and beauty and giving helping they are just all good people

And if people understood the way that they lived it might rub out on us and we could become a better people but here

People that should be role models are not it's all about greed it's all about I'll get you before you get me it's all about verbal drama and destruction so that's how people in America live

And it's sad it's so sad that more people in America could not see or live like the Norwegian people because it is a beautiful thing and we are all supposed to live like that but our culture is too greedy too selfish

But I am glad to say that there are people here that do live like Norwegian people are they try to

And I think that's the reason why there's still good in our country

But it seems like he should every day it just goes downhill but thank you for this question because it does give hope it's too bad people didn't know more about it and become more like it

Fascinated, not really, intrigued yep.

Japan has been cited, I like how alien it feels, but only from a distance, because I'm certain their social rules would be mentally exhausting to me.

I find the USA exotic as well, culturally, as it's a super wide spectrum to me, ranging from the Amish to Wall street lol

Russian culture intrigues me also, as it seems to be a wild mix of obedience and rebellion, a bit similar to USA with that impression of chaos and order I get, but also not.

And then India, where everything seems to be rooted in spirituality, thousands of different spirituality, that is my impression at least.

I have a preference for my own family’s culture. I think it’s a very welcoming culture and has the best food, folklore.

But I also like Japanese and Chinese cultures, lately I have come to like aspects of Egyptian culture as well.

Really? I heard they're assholes and snobby and very closed off.

ALWAYS, none. I always enjoyed studying different ones, but there isn't one I was ALWAYS obssessed with. I had phases.

In 5th grade, I was obssessed with Indian culture after watching Temple of Doom. This lasted until like my late 20s.

In my mid-teens I became fascinated with Russian culture after watching Indiana Jones 4. This lasted until like my early 20s.

In my late teens/early 20s I was obssessed with Greek culture after going there.

And the last few years I've been fascinated with French culture, specifically French culture outside of mainland France.

Might be cliche but yeah Japan lol. i grew up playing and still play lots of video games that come from there, i've seen tons of anime and japanese movies that do make the place seem intriguing. It just seems sooo different and unique from the rest of the world to me. i haven't been to Japan yet but its definitely on my bucket list.

They are unlike any of the other northern cultures of India where Hinduism has not penetrated much. They are indigenous and matriarchal. It's an amazingly civilized and progressive culture in the midst of an increasingly divisive nation.
