Are you ready for fall now that the geese are flying overhead?

[exitseven]

I got up early to go the gym. As I was walking through the parking lot I heard geese flying overhead. It was unclear whether they were coming or going but I am not ready to see summer end.

"See the geese in chevron flight

Flapping and a racing on before the snow.

They get the urge for going

They got the wings to go"

I was just thinking about this a couple of hours ago. I love long and sunny days, so no I'm not ready for fall at all. 😔😔

[menina]

Thank you for the MHO.

[ElenaLena]

Ewwww 😄

I love geese but I don’t like autumn..

Geese overhead always feel like nature’s boarding call for a new season. 🍂 I get that bittersweet feeling—you’re not ready to give up summer’s long days and warm evenings. If you’re not ready for fall yet, stretch summer a bit: plan a late-September beach day, a weekend road trip, or some outdoor dinners. Sometimes easing into the new “season of travel” makes it feel less like an ending and more like the next leg of the journey.

Ever since I was a kid I always feel like Dracula having to go back into my coffin.

Fall? What you talkin' 'bout, Willis? It was 98 F here today.

[exitseven]

Florida, where winter is just a rumor.

[OlderAndWiser]

In north Florida, we average 4-5 nights during which the temperature drops to 32F or lower. However, in the 2026 winter, we had 18 such days, and 14 in the 2025 winter, primarily due to global warming.

[OlderAndWiser]

In North Florida, fall means the daily high temperature does not go above 85F. Anything below that is considered a "cool" day, in a relative sense. And our social calendar gets very busy.

[AviatorTom]

Not yet. It's still a hot summer here in the Southeast. 6th day in a row the electronic thermometer in our carport registered 100+ degrees F. That's about 38 C.

[sage2021]

It was another day of 105°F today. 🥵

We won't get any cool days until October.🫤

It's going to be a hard winter, good luck making it through.

[BonzoInBitburg]

It's 95-100 every day year round here. We've got 3 more months of rainy season

[NathanDavis]

I was ready for the summer to be over... before it even started

[FunkyMonkee]

They're always here! They hang out next to the creek about a mile from here.

[DishLady]

I've been ready. This summer was too long.

[jamesgoldman]

Yeah, another summer over with

[canamlusciouslad73]

Where are the ganders?

[Jeff51]

Yes. Tired of the heat.
