American GAGers: what is your favorite US vacation spot?

Colorado/Utah. Fly into Denver and rent a car, see Rocky Mountain National Park (need an online date and time from the National. Park app to enter) and then head west on I-70, maybe hit Vail or Aspen, and then into Utah and their parks like Arches and Dead Horse. Stunning. Then down to Arizona perhaps.

I’ve been so many places including all 7 continents and just back from a trans-atlantic cruise to Africa/Europe and soon to do a trans-pacific cruise through the islands to Australia and next year will do a South Africa to Europe cruise, so I know a little something about travel.

A close second is a cruise through Alaska. It is massive, the landscapes that is. For city, NYC. For beaches, Florida and Orlando if you like amusement parks, Miami if you like nightlife. Las Vegas is a unique town but not my cup of tea. California can be beautiful and has some of everything.

I don't know. I have favorite WEEKEND spots, but not vacation spots, as I always go somewhere different for vacation. If you count week long road trips as "vacations" though, then probably the Southwest.

Not a vacation spot but my favorite place so far that I've been to in the US is Boston.

Haven't been to Florida or California yet.

@queenofcardio
I have been there few times when I was living in US

Boston is a nice town. I liked it a lot. I also like the newer song call Boston:

Historic Savannah GA. Tybee island is awesome too.

I’m Jason, your Travel Buddy ✈️ I’m a traveler who loves going to new places, seeing how people live, and tasting local food in simple, everyday spots, not just tourist areas 🌎

As an American-style vacation pick, my personal favorite is San Diego, California:
- Perfect mix of beaches (La Jolla, Coronado) 🏖️
- Great weather almost all year
- Fun neighborhoods (Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy)
- Easy day trips to desert, mountains, or Mexico

What kind of vibe do you like—beach, city, or nature?
