How could you see what the hand is doing when you can't even see the hand?
What I see is only that the hand is behind her since her body is blowing the view of the camera, not how close it is or what the hand are doing, it could have been 10 cm behind her as much as grabbing her ass he could have been a handles person. When you have experemented with cameras and studied some camera effects to get thing's to look like things you know better than assuming. (Assuming isn't the ultimate truth only a guessing)
Than you have she has a bad reputation to be a drama queen acording to media and gossip from both genders.
Roland, what I read between your lines is.. that to you, it makes a difference whether he was grabbing her ass over her dress or under her dress. in my opinion, it's irrelevant, because he still grabbed her ass in the end. As for his excuse that it was an accident. He only said that after the photographer produced that pic after he vehemently denied it ever occurred at first. He probably thought he could get away with it, he couldn't, so now it's an "accident".
Yes, and? I thought we're discussing whether he should have been punished for groping her ass. Over or under dress doesn't matter, but if true, he should even be punished harder.
Bubble, I don't understand your point. To be clear, I think she could have given him the opportunity to explain. If she didn't like the explanation, she could still bury him. As for a criminal case, there is none. Because there is no jury would find beyond a reasonable doubt he groped her intentionally.
Look, I was groped once in a public transport. I really have no desire to talk to the offender to let him explain. It's nothing like your little Polish scenario when it's done intentionally. The expression in their eyes when you stare at them in disbelief is very clear.
What do you see and what is assumptions based on other inputs than the pic?
Many humans have a lot of problems to split those apart in their minds when it comes to facts and interpretations of what they think did happen.
What the photographer did write can most likely only be taken with a pinch of salt. hope you understand that, and did he/she stand in a angle that he/she did see behind the objects.
It could have been he's girlfriend that did grab and she did assume it was him. her hand aren't visible also, non of the objects hands in the pic wasn't visible (one of the hand on each objects)
Try to stay with first hand facts not hearsay or what someone did say. (people tends to bend what happens also color it, sometimes even make thing's up because of a lot of different reasons) (First off all non of us are justified to make a statement on what really did happen with this little fact, and it have been clearly shown here how bad people in general are in making proper assessments of a situation)
@crazy8000 This is how perpetrators have succeeded in getting away with crimes for so long. Witnesses are unreliable, there is no video proof from all angles. etc.
In order to be a victim, he would have to be guilty of the crime of sexual assault.
And if you believe the evidence states he is guilty of that crime, then we do not agree.
I will not, cannot believe I am guilty of sexual assault simply because someone accuses me. And I don't care if they are named Taylor Swift or Halle Berry.
"Definition of sexual assault: illegal sexual contact that usually involves force upon a person without consent" www.merriam-webster.com/.../sexual%20assault You said "We can see for ourselves. We see his hand on her ass. He admits he touched her ass." This is illegal sexual contact without consent.
(That's relative to how each person defines sexual contact, and some people does it means that any kind of touching is sexual)
(whit your logic she did also do sexual assault on him and he's girlfriend, also all females that have touched me no matter accidental or not no matter situation)
How are we supposed to know? If he did it on purpose, he got what he deserved. Groping people is gross. If he did by accident, then yes, she did ruin his life.
On the other hand, he just may have grabbed her bare ass. Thee is the possibility that he didn't realize where his hand was, but she could still sincerely believe he meant to grab her ass, even if it was an accident of some sort. Swift makes may appearances, and does not make a habit of claiming people grabbing her bare ass.
It would have been nice, if Swift had taken a polygraph test as well. Though, polygraph tests have frequent false negatives, and false positives. Criminals commonly pass them when lying.
I have not heard of criminals commonly passing them. But this guy isn't some seasoned criminal who knows how to beat the system. Besides;
"The polygraph is highly reliable, providing the examiner is properly trained and using the latest validated techniques and computerised equipment. The American Polygraph Association (APA) has gathered over 200 studies on the subject. Based on twelve separate studies involving 2174 actual cases since 1980, evidence suggests that qualified polygraph examiners are 98% accurate in their overall decisions. The use of the polygraph has evolved over the last ten years, techniques are now backed by science and accuracy with the latest computerised equipment."
Before I'd believe a polygraph was accurate to 98%, I'd want to see at least one independent study, well done, with many participants. 98% is high for a lot of lab work, let alone, reading a person for truth or lie. Not that it can't be 98% accurate, but I need more studies to accept it.
I just saw the photograph of when it supposedly happened. The guys right shoulder is significantly lowered, with his arm down, and angled toward her ass, and not at an angle normally used if you mean to put your arm around her waist. The photo, combined with Swift's complaint, look pretty incriminating.
I downloaded it. There is listing of phds with their different studies. I could try contacting a couple. But the list seems comprehensive. But as with most published findings, you have to join a site or pay for access.
I think if you watch the video, Tucker Carlson says, it looks like you did it. To which he says, it was awkward. He wasn't ready. I think that is an admission that he did contact her butt. But he insists he did not put his hand under her skirt.
"Swift makes may appearances, and does not make a habit of claiming people grabbing her bare ass. " But she DOES have a habit of making up stories about evil men treating her badly. In fact, she has built her ENTIRE PERSONA on the "you go girl!" mentality, and demonising the men she had a relationship with. It has even been parodied by Family Guy that Miss Swift makes a habit of getting together with boyfriends, and breaking up with them just to write sad songs and victimize herself. I can absolutely imagine her using this bloke to get a bit of media attention.
@Benedek38 : I understand your comment, and it does have merit. However, it's a very big leap from breaking up with a boyfriend for a song, and claiming a practical stranger grabbed her bare ass. And is you look a the photo, which I hadn't seen at first, his arm certainly looks like it is deliberately in a position much lower than normal, where the hand would be right on her ass. Though the photo doesn't show the hand, as it's behind Swift.
@Benedek38 : About a foot higher up, on her waist, and not aimed down to the right, toward her ass. Where his hand was, is just where I purposely don't put mine, when standing next to a girl for a picture, because I don't want to touch her ass. Well, I may want to, but I use self control, and don't.
If it was on her waist, people would call him a creep for trying to embrace her, and she'd bitch about that.
You can't win here. Shoulder hugging a lady is rude. Touching the back (shoulderblades) is uncomfortable for him physically, and patronizing for her. Touching the waist makes it feel like he is pulling her in an embrace, which is definitely what you don't want to do. And keeping distance is just weird overall.
Do you know what kind of shit you get for posing on a photo with a "hover hand"?
"Look at that, such a virgin. So awkward. I bet he can't talk to a REAL woman. I bet he has a small dick" literally every one of these have been said about men posing with a hover hand on a photo.
this is old news but even when i first heard about this in the past i never took sides on this case because there's only like a few pictures to work with, it's a he said she said thing, and in the back is a wall so there is just no way for anyone to actually see what was happening at the back.
after watching the video, at 1:30 he said he was never under her skirt, he never grabbed her, and his hand wasn't even opened. if you say his hand is on her ass but you believe him then i guess i can't believe him. XD
I do not agree with your characterization. He was being interviews by Tucker Carlson. Tucker said I see the photo it looks like you are guilty. He does not deny he made contact with her ass. He says;
1. His hand was not open 2. So he did not grab her ass 3. It was awkward and he wasn't ready for the photo.
I have never seen him deny that his hand was not on her butt. It would be kind of hard to claim that based on the photo.
i am not looking for your or anyones agreement because this is my opinion and again, this is why i didn't want to take sides like i said at first. this is a he said she said thing and without any evidence such as a picture from behind, no one even knows what actually happened. this is something only taylor and dj himself would know so everyone can argue all day and it's never going to end. this is a picture, not a video, no one knows what happened before, during, and after this still moment. for all we know, his hand could be in the middle of swooping the skirt up from behind.
"But this was not about a criminal offense. This is about him being fired from a job. And I know people who get fired for a lot less. "
Actually grabbing someone's ass like that is sexual assault, which is a criminal offense. Why on earth not go public and get him fired for it? He had no heavy backpack sliding down his arm, he wasn't falling down the stairs, etc.
Some years back, the CEO of Mozilla basically was forced out of his job for donating to Proposition 8 in California--which passed by a public vote.
Last week, The Chairman of Papa Johns was basically forced out of his position for literally saying "Colonel Sanders would say n-----s and never had trouble for it." Never mind that every rapper that got awards this year and last and last all had dozens of songs using that word repeatedly.
Same here, so she was probably to hot and bothered and didn't feel the need to talk to him about anything because he's an adult and should know better. once you let guys in the industry get away with it they will push further
I think you have to know that just because you do not do this kind of thing does not mean other people do not do this kind of thing. If Taylor Swift was that bothered by the situation - it was probably worse than a normal act of disrespect - at least for her.
Taylor Swift was a drama queen. she has always been a victim. One of my ex-bf did something wrong. he wrote on my back of my leaver t-shirt. I just ignore him. I made him upset and I starting laughing in my head. I hate Taylor swift.
He had the opportunity to explain himself in court, and he took full advantage of that. I understand now that he is working for a Mississippi radio station that hired him out of desperation.
I have experienced it too. And I didn't wish like the culprit dead or anything. And when I accidentally did it to someone else, they instantly forgave me.
That's my point. I don't understand why people insist he did it on purpose. The photo while showing him with his hand on her ass. . . looks awkward at the very least. The other woman is his girlfriend. I think she could have handled it differently.
Now if he denied it. . . which he did not. Or if he claimed he could get away with it, which he didn't that would be one thing.
But even he said "yeah, it was an accident".
The only thing I can say about him is that maybe he could have said something. He could have apologized since he knew he grabbed her.
There’s two sides to every story, in this case there’s no proof he purposely did it so there’s no way of telling whether who’s right or who’s wrong here.
Well, regardless of right or wrong in this situation, I would hope that people communicate much better from here on out.
Rather than make accusations, I think a conversation to establish intent could have prevented misunderstanding. Again, I have been grabbed and I have done the grabbing. It wasn't on purpose. It was an accident.
You know sometimes You can be friends or strangers.. or whatever... but this is just my polite opinion.. Women just have this sixth sense where they understand the intention of the man. If she wanted to use her celebrity status she would have pulled in a lot of money from this case but it was 1$. I am on her side on this for sure. Or any woman for that matter
It's just terrible what she did.. and what's worst is that she didn't even get in trouble for it... But I thought the question was solely about Taylor... I said I would support any woman for that matter if they go through a Taylor kinda condition... I never mentioned what I would do vice versa because the question was never asked that way. I hope I answered this correctly... but about katy it was absolutely disgusting to do something like that
Sounds like the guy ruined his own life. You don't accidentally GRAB someones butt. He thought he could get away with it and cried when there consequences for his actions.

His hand looks really low. That's way lower than I would go with a women I wasn't intimate with. He probably grab her ass. Doesn't deserve to have his life ruined over it. I think that privileged little bitch will survive.
An approximation my point. I mean, she could have talked to him. If he was a jerk about it, of course she could then bury him. She is Taylor Swift, she can end careers.
Remember back when if you crossed a line with a woman she'd just slap you and you'd learn where her boundaries were rather than her telegraphing the slight and pushing her boundaries on every woman?
Suppose for a moment that his hand is grabbing her bare ass, Roland (I believe he's definitely grabbing her ass, as to whether or not it's bare I couldn't say based on the pic).
What do you think the appropriate penalty *should* be?
I don't know. Maybe he deserved to be fired. But I think she could have approached him personally and just said, "you grabbed my ass and I was not comfortable with that." And if he responded in the wrong way, then should could bury him.
But she sent her bodyguard. The bodyguard accused him of sexual harassment, he got defensive and here we are.
I don't know what photo you are looking at, but on the one I am looking at, a man and his girlfriend are being simultaneously harassed by Taylor Swift, who is using her influence to pressure them into it.
See though, but most girls know the difference between an accidental slip of the hand and a very intentional grab. And it's actually pretty common for girls to say nothing when they're groped, especially by a stranger. It's shocking for us and it takes a bit to process what happened and react.
That whole thing with Mel B was awful though. Ugh. 😣
I would agree my lady friends know. I described a situation with a beautiful Polish lady. She thought it was funny. I have a Mexican lady friend, who scoffed at this. She thinks its absurd.
But there are plenty of women who think the slightest misstep from a man should be prosecuted to the fullest extent.
And I disagree with that. The incident with Mel B, you can tell he is a total jerk, determined to cop a feel. But I don't think this is similar to Taylor Swift.
I have known plenty of women who have misread intentions assuming I am making a pass at them, stalking them or whatever. So I do not accept women "know" when a man has done something accidentally.
@englisc Uhm. . . he is gay so that means he can't grab women sexually?
I don't follow that at all.
So let me show all the faults in your thinking.
1. Sexuality for some people is very fluid. A guy professing to be gay can definitely end up being bisexual. 2. Mel B did not bring charges against him. She didn't sue him or try to get him fired. She just wanted his hand off her ass. 3. You and I both know if this was either you or I, we would have whupped his ass right then and there in front of the television cameras.
I just wanted to inject some logic into this debate.
For the record, sexual orientation has zero to do with a person's ability to violate others. A straight woman isn't allowed to grope other women's butts just because there's no sexual desire there.
Just don't touch other people on their bathing suit areas. It's really not hard. And it's not a "misstep" when you put your hand there and keep it there instead of pulling back and being like "whoops sorry." I can't speak for all girls, but I for one know when it's a mistake and when it's a choice.
he did it was on purpose, let me explain why, first look at the dress Taylor is wearing, on the top it is a tight bodice with puffy short sleeves and on the bottom part it is an A
(dident ment press enter but I will continue to explain) bottom part it is an A-line skirt , now why is important to know in Taylors case? it is when add weigh or pressure to the bottom of the dress it shows no matter from which angle you look at it, that is why the dress looks out of shape from left because the other women is leaning on Taylor and that is why even thought there is distance between Taylor and the man the dress looks more 2d/flatter rather then 3 dimensional and rounder, because his hand is putting pressure on it, I do not believe his hand is under the dress but at all and it is clear to me where his hand is placed, Because of the type of dress it is it is easy for both Taylor and the men to feel the movement of the dress and the pressure on it, by the way trust If the hand was lower or higher it you would be able to tell.

And the funny thing is those women are like. ..
"Why don't you grab something?"
Hilarious!!!
The photographer testified that she saw through her camera lense that he was indeed groping her ass.
We can see for ourselves. We see his hand on her ass. He admits he touched her ass.
He said it was an accident.
You said she was lying and he never touched her ass.
You change your opinion very quickly.
You didn't read my post. I admit that in photograph, his hand is low. That is her ass. Sorry if you didn't think that was clear enough.
You should read the account of the photographer before you continue.
Hmmm. . . so when I say that his hand was on her ass. . . what does that mean to you?
Does that mean I disagree with the photographer?
How could you see what the hand is doing when you can't even see the hand?

Yes, and? I thought we're discussing whether he should have been punished for groping her ass. Over or under dress doesn't matter, but if true, he should even be punished harder.

I would rather not talk about that.
And I would rather not be accused of justifying sexual assault against anyone.

You said "We can see for ourselves. We see his hand on her ass. He admits he touched her ass." This is illegal sexual contact without consent.
I see the definition and my interpretation of that is completely different than yours. I see "illegal sexual contact" and I see the word "force".
And again, if your point is that he made illegal sexual contact using force, we are in total disagreement.
If men can be criminally charged and persecuted for this kind of situation, then women will start joining us in jail very soon.

Right, I believe it was not intentional. His hand may not be open, I am not sure how that is a sticking point. It is on her butt. He admits that.
well makes now it's starting to sound contradicting and suspicious so i guess DJ is a liar
I do not agree with your characterization. He was being interviews by Tucker Carlson. Tucker said I see the photo it looks like you are guilty. He does not deny he made contact with her ass. He says;
1. His hand was not open
2. So he did not grab her ass
3. It was awkward and he wasn't ready for the photo.
I have never seen him deny that his hand was not on her butt. It would be kind of hard to claim that based on the photo.
Oh and I forgot.
4. He said his hand did not go under her skirt.
i am not looking for your or anyones agreement because this is my opinion and again, this is why i didn't want to take sides like i said at first. this is a he said she said thing and without any evidence such as a picture from behind, no one even knows what actually happened. this is something only taylor and dj himself would know so everyone can argue all day and it's never going to end. this is a picture, not a video, no one knows what happened before, during, and after this still moment. for all we know, his hand could be in the middle of swooping the skirt up from behind.
Well, eyewitness reports say his hand was on her her ass.
A judge ruled in her favor.
So that's that.
I wanted to talk about something else, but you made things simple.
"But this was not about a criminal offense. This is about him being fired from a job. And I know people who get fired for a lot less. "

Same here, so she was probably to hot and bothered and didn't feel the need to talk to him about anything because he's an adult and should know better. once you let guys in the industry get away with it they will push further
Oh, I am sure sexual harassers would push further and do all manner of horrible things.
I just don't think you can compare this situation with those. She is Taylor Swift, not some champion of women's rights.
Because you're not a woman. You'll never understand
Perhaps. I don't claim to understand women's issues.
But by the same token, do not pretend you understand what it means to be a man. And to have women weaponize your very nature against you.
Well, this has been a thoroughly divisive issue. That's for sure. My goodness people see issues like these so differently.
I just think she could have told the guy "you grabbed my ass, did you do it on purpose?"
Give him a chance to respond, to explain.
I only wrote good luck from you ex girlfriend. I did has a joke. I don’t keep up with drama or stuffs.
He had the opportunity to explain himself in court, and he took full advantage of that. I understand now that he is working for a Mississippi radio station that hired him out of desperation.
You should see the crap she makes her employees do. She is paranoid and her music is boring - and it sucks. Hope no one pukes with this song.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/T4pTMZuAux4If he grabbed her then he deserves everything he got
A pink anon.
You guys are rare. Like the snow leopard.
I disagree, of course. I think she could have talked to him.
Really? Haha.
I’ve experienced it, it’s not nice. Which is why that’s my opinion 😋
I have experienced it too. And I didn't wish like the culprit dead or anything. And when I accidentally did it to someone else, they instantly forgave me.
Accidentally then I understand but when done on purpose then it’s completely different.
What does your sixth sense tell you about Katy Perry?
https://youtu.be/ce3_D3IG96w
It's just terrible what she did.. and what's worst is that she didn't even get in trouble for it... But I thought the question was solely about Taylor... I said I would support any woman for that matter if they go through a Taylor kinda condition... I never mentioned what I would do vice versa because the question was never asked that way. I hope I answered this correctly... but about katy it was absolutely disgusting to do something like that
Well, if you see the two situations as equivalent, I think we at least have some agreement.
This is why women shouldn't have power.
Oh, you fooled me.
You are part of the blue anon singing group.

You could belong to that group. Only difference is you pretend to be the gunslinger.

Gay..
I didn't now you guys were gay.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
:D
Is that supposed to be an insult?
Remember back when if you crossed a line with a woman she'd just slap you and you'd learn where her boundaries were rather than her telegraphing the slight and pushing her boundaries on every woman?
Remember when you could slap someone and it wasn't assault? Those were the good old days
Mmmm. . . something to think about.
the supervisor to one of my best friends got handsy too, and tried to intimidate her afterwards
I didn't ruin his life... but I got him three month vacations, lol
it was his choice not to go back to work after that
Well, I would hope he has another job by now.
and hopefully, he's not harassing women anymore... others might not be as considerate as I was, lol
how long ago was this post? I kind of find fascinating when I run onto older posts, lol... so many people that do not seem to be around here anymore
HINT: Perspectives matter.
Awkward situation... I never heard about it until just now. Ask yourself what would you do if he was your son or if she was your daughter...
Hmmm. . . if it were my girlfriend, I would have to make sure that of the circumstances.
But now thinking about it, when it comes to my nieces, I probably would have trouble not reacting in a very bad way.
Because I consider them to be my children.
But I would hope I would try to get all the facts.
Thanks for sharing.
If he grabbed her butt, he deserved to get fired.
Well, I am pretty sure he did. But if you look at the photo, it seems to support his claim it was accidental.
1. It is definitely awkward.
2. He is not even trying to get close to her.
3. She said nothing at the time.
Mel B on the other hand,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XrJ_04FZQI

The Mel B one is weird - Luois Walsh is gay, I don't think there was any sexual intent behind that, but still weird.
@englisc Dude, he had a hand full of ass and was rubbing it.
So he can do that to you and it would not be sexual?
I don't think it was right that he did that but the fact that he's gay says to me that there was no sexual intent - he's not into women.
Yep, not excusing it nor am I somehow saying that it wasn't as bad. I just found it weird that a gay guy would do that, that's all.
@englisc Why do guys pretend that they would not whup a gay guy's ass on the regular if the found him grabbing their ass?
What kind of nonsense is that dude?
he did it was on purpose, let me explain why, first look at the dress Taylor is wearing, on the top it is a tight bodice with puffy short sleeves and on the bottom part it is an A
(dident ment press enter but I will continue to explain) bottom part it is an A-line skirt , now why is important to know in Taylors case? it is when add weigh or pressure to the bottom of the dress it shows no matter from which angle you look at it, that is why the dress looks out of shape from left because the other women is leaning on Taylor and that is why even thought there is distance between Taylor and the man the dress looks more 2d/flatter rather then 3 dimensional and rounder, because his hand is putting pressure on it, I do not believe his hand is under the dress but at all and it is clear to me where his hand is placed, Because of the type of dress it is it is easy for both Taylor and the men to feel the movement of the dress and the pressure on it, by the way trust If the hand was lower or higher it you would be able to tell.
Gravity does not lie
I get your point. I disagree. There is no definitive proof from the photo. But people are looking at the photo and seeing their own reality.
