Guns are tools that are manufactured with the specific function of pumping little bits of metal into targets, with intent to severely wound, if not kill.
Food is... Something we all require. Do you /want/ to ban forks? No. Because, unwittingly, but on some level, you know the analogy doesn't work. The difference between guns and many other things that can be potentially weaponised; vehicles, knifes, bomb parts, etc, is that these non-gun things have legit, non-harmful and/or essential day-to-day uses. A gun does not. If you needed a gun to put up a shelf, or slice a pizza, you'd have a point. But you don't.

I'm not interested in the gun argument right now - but intelligent pro-gun, people, I implore you, please - start chastising other pro-gun people for making bad arguments. They make you collectively look like morons.

During the Obama/Biden administration, prosecutions for violations of gun laws were way down. They don't want to fix the problem, they want to make it WORSE so they will have a boogeyman to go after to distract from the abject failure of their agenda.
