+1 yThere were some strange things afoot at this concert. Considering we do have a security guard that was apparently found to have been injected with a strong opiate, suspecting the dreaded Fentanyl was involved in that case. It is possible there were one or more people pulling that crap. We know it happened once.
What is disturbing is the amount of heart attacks that were recorded, which some survived and some didn't. While certainly a crushing situation could cause a heart attack, the number seems a bit high considering this is a pretty young crowd and not everybody was crushed.
I am just saying it's a bit unusual to have that many people have that one particular condition, when crowd stampedes usually have a vast variety of causes for death and injury.
I reserve official judgement until we have all the facts. But my money is on something nefarious done by a few perpetrators that definitely contributed if not started the stampede. That's my guess, I could be right I could be wrong. Whatever did actually happen, this was tragic, but hey Apple needed a pay day. I hope they get sued into bankruptcy. I know, not gonna happen.
I have been crushed at a concert before and it's no fun. Fortunately, I was in the front and people kept crushing and crushing. I was flexible so I braced my feet against the wall and pushed back as hard as I could against the crowd. I was able to move it it though people didn't like it, but they couldn't reach me if they wanted to. Before that, I was definitely getting the breath squeezed out of me and I couldn't move, which is why I took such aggressive action.13 Reply- +1 y

@Jamie05rhs Well, we don't know yet. We know of the security guard that has all but been officially confirmed. The police chief was regaling the story. What we don't know is if this was a one off, or if there were some ne'er-do-wells in the crowd really doing this. Seems like a waste of Fentanyl, to shoot it in other people, but I just greedy I guess. Hopefully, we start to get some more facts out of this. The number of heart attacks by young people is a bit odd and can definitely be caused by Fentanyl, but we don't know yet. I caution that.

@Floppy2112 True. It needs to be investigated.

+1 ymight seem crazy, but I'm going with demonic sacrifice on this one. Tons of people who were there feel the same way. For real, creeped me tf out when I watched the video of him looking down at one of the bodies being carried off and "singing". And at one point, he's says that nobody's a bystander if they come to his concerts. Even if you're fully against supernatural, demonic, sacrificial explanations, you gotta agree that he seemed to feed off the negative energy/deaths taking place as he kept performing.
And the reports of people being stabbed with syringes and drugged, and all those young people having freaking heart attacks? I suppose it could all be one big coincidence, but I'm not gonna go with that. Especially when you see that people told security and Scott himself what was going on, and they didn't do anything to stop it. I've seen some stuff go down at concerts before, but in every case, the artist will stop the show and say something to calm the crowd, not further incite them. For me, the only explanation is that he wanted it to happen for whatever reason. Just my two cents. Well, more like five cents. :D00 Reply
When Travis brought out surprise guest Drake, people freaked out and rushed the stage, trampling and suffocating people. There were too many people there to begin with and the shows were unorganized, as well as the fact that there were not enough workers/security.
Younger people tend to get sucked into the frenzy of excitement which can be deadly, as seen at ASTROWORLD. The panic intensifies as people try to get out which only adds to the chaos. I wouldn’t be surprised if they cancel the fest next year or limit the number of tickets to be sold. I was supposed to go and changed my mind last minute and I’m glad that I did.41 Reply- +1 y
@Sawyerblu I'm glad you did, too!
+1 yBad organizing, bad security, artist and stage managers ignoring the crowd. When you have so many people crammed into a space they compress causing some people to be unable to take a breath in, if one person falls it can be like a domino effect which them causes trampling. This is what happens when crowds aren't managed correctly.

+1 yThey got crushed... Look up pictures if the hillsborough disaster to get the idea...
A surge at the back crushing the ones at the front.. Standing up and slowly suffocating, they can't move forward and more crowds are surging forward.. No air.. Some fall and get trampled, terrible way to die20 Reply Happens all the time at big things and has happened at Travis's concerts multiple times. 50,000 at concert = high probability of death in some of these people.
Would never see that here though our concerts are small and great. We just have a lot of people who take drugs but that effects them not me so i am good with that.00 Reply
u +1 y"Bizarre"? There is nothing "bizarre" about it, all it takes is the combination of bad planning and bad circumstances. The 2010 Love Parade crowd panic killed 21 people, you may have heard/read about that?

+1 yMob mentality, seen it plenty of times before, various reasons behind it. Recently at European Championshop final younhad people storming the doors at Wembley. No one seriously hurt as far as I know but could have been.
Lack of organisation/control puts people at risk00 Reply
+1 yLack of crowd control. Same as at Hillsborough in 1989, when 97 people were killed in a crush at a football ground.
20 ReplyCrowd crush, too many people and they were urged forward, exerting even more pressure. They were over capacity because people entered illegally and they were probably also overbooked. They should have stopped this way sooner, but greed overtook them. It's really unfortunate that people need to die for things that could have been so easily prevented.

First MF to run and everybody get's desperate.
A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that because humans have herd mentality that humans are cattle and easily spun under their fingers... Lol
They end up all fucked up. Even cattle is not as maleable as they think humans are.10 ReplyDemonic shi, ofc. Idc what any of you say. It was demonic shi.
I just watched a video of a guy who was actually there. He sounded scared. I warned people before it got worse, but ofc…people don’t listen. 👌🏾21 Reply1.1K opinions shared on Trending & News topic. There were no seats. Thousands were standing and as the group moved closer to the stagem, anyone that fell were trampled to death. There was a Who concert in Cincinnati that had a similar tragedy and unsigned seating was believed to be the cause.

*what did actually happen?

What happened was too many people gathered in one place. It was very unorganized and dangerous.
Those who were injured or died were being crushed by the pressure of people around them. A lot of those who died, died from asphyxiation. People were being bumped around and crushed.
This happens a lot at concerts, just, not to this extent. Deaths by stampede is probably the most common.

I can't help but think, you don't see this sort of thing at a James Taylor concert.
Or even at Metallica concerts...
And how did the guy on stage not see it happening and do something? Stop the show, turn the lights on and tell people to back up a little.
