Of course not, and I would be very upset with my child if he put himself in this situation. But the rioters shouldn't have been in Kenosha either. Rittenhouse worked as a lifeguard in Kenosha so at least he had a strong connection to the area. The rifle he used that night was bought and being stored by his friend. They made that decision specifically because Rittenhouse was too young to purchase a long barrel weapon himself, and he didn't want to violate the law by letting the weapon cross state lines.
