He was a kid who was trying to do the right thing by protecting local business from the rioters and giving medical aid to anyone who needed it. He's not a villain or a bad person.

A guy ran up to him for no reason and tried to steal his rifle he feared for his life and shot him and then tried to flee because the rioters were chasing him then another guy ran up on him hit with a skateboard then another guy ran up to him and was about to kill him with a pistol before he shot them both again justified shootings. He didn't do anything more then what was necessarily nor did he initiate conflict.

He's just a kid who was put in a real bad situation. Anyone who says he did the wrong thing has obviously never been in an actual life and death situation or ever been in a position where your being swarmed by people intent on hurting you or worse.

And anyone who says they would have done things differently is lying to themselves and everyone around them they would protect themselves same as anyone else.

He's an idiot. But he's also young so you can somewhat forgive him for that. Unfortunately even the actions of young idiots can have grave consequences. I don't care whether you think he acted rightly or not in Kenosha Wisconsin. The fact remains if he hadn't been there none of that would have happened. Personally, I wish he'd been found guilty and while not done serious time, he'd have gotten a sentence to make him think twice about ever doing it again. We have a police force, and insurance to replace things. People cannot be replaced. And don't think I'm taking the side of the 3 who got shot, I AM NOT! But Kyle thinks he did the right thing, and learned nothing from this. So in that sense, 3 people died for nothing. The whole thing is sad.

Side note: I did read some time later that he applied to enroll at ASU but student protests were so fierce that he withdrew (no exact word on whether he was asked or whether he did it of his own volition. But I was happy to read this. Not because I want the kid to be harassed. I just want him to understand that there are consequences for his actions.
