One person is dead and seven more injured after a shooting at a Memorial Day celebration. No one pulled out an equally deadly weapon to stop the shooting -- so there goes that theory.

When will enough be enough?

It's good to see far less comments trying to defend gun ownership. This seems reflective of America as a whole. It seems the public, in general, have finally accepted its time to relinquish their firearms.

I know there may be those who will be angry over accepting the inevitable but everyone will come to appreciate the safer society.

Please explain WHY... anytime there's a shooting, its the gun that needs to be banned (because that's what a lot of other countries have done)?

As far as relinquishing firearms, maybe you should consider looking at ALL sides of that situation. There were 1.6 MILLION times in 2021 where a gun was used to STOP violent crime. In other words, that's 1.6 MILLION+ more people NOT shot dead - BECAUSE they used a gun to prevent it. Where's the media pointing out THAT? And that's just in the US.

Relinquish guns? No way! It's unconstitutional in the 1st place. You don't just get to have Congress vote on repealing a Constitutional Ammendment, and it's done.

An idiot runs through a parade in an SUV and no one calls for banning vehicles. by the way, that certainly wasn't the first time that was done.

When are liberals gonna finally figger out, guns do NOT cause problems, it's the idiots that misuse them.

Like it or not, guns in America have an extremely useful presence. Just as anyone who lives on a farm or in wide open areas. An AR-15 makes an excellent weapon to deal with coyotes, wolves, bears, and for hunting small game animals.
