After the latest Texas mass shooting, are we closer to an assault weapons ban?

Are we closer to banning trans people considering how many mass shootings in the last two years were committed by Trans people, or in the case of Charlie Kirk's murder, someone in a relationship with a trans person?

A gun is a tool. The gun doesn't care if it sits on a shelf for 80 years or if it goes to the range every weekend, and you can point a gun at a person for years and it will not fire. Only people can be murderers, and it is idiocy to ban tools, which does nothing to stop the hate in someone's heart.

Remember Oklahoma City, or the Boston Marathon? Bombs are pretty simple to make and there are nearly unlimited materials to do so readily available. Not to mention plenty of other tools. Someone who doesn't care if they are killed can kill many others and almost nothing can stop them. A person with a gun is one of the very few exceptions.

@goaded I am Polish, so Americans are not exactly "fellow Americans" to me. However, I am dealing with a similar issue of bloodthirsty left-wing fanatics here in Poland, and therefore I know one when I see one, and most Demo (n) crats fit the bill perfectly. I am aware of the hushed pedophile allegations against Donald Trump, and I do not approve of His campaign against Iran, either, but I still consider Him to be the lesser evil, hard on domestic terrorists like the Demo (n) crats and sick, totalitarian organizations like the EU. Safe to say, I as a Pole have a few common enemies with Trump, so I am willing to at least temporarily look past those allegations and even Iran (especially since Iran seems to hold their ground perfectly fine by themselves).

Crime and murder went up after all of the massive weapon ban regulations went in to effect in Wa state. You dont want that even though you now think you do. The Iran war even furthers this point because Americans will be able to fight against sleeper cells if they occur. Assault rifles have already been banned in most US states and magazine capacity is a feature of the magazine, not the weapon itself.
