You are correct, of course. But our elites don’t care about that. They don’t care about common people, which is why they’ve hollowed out the wealth and standard of living of most of the country and hoarded wealth to themselves in a few major cities. They view themselves as a global ruling class and everyone else as cattle to be managed. And they invested heavily in wind and solar, and they will do anything to make those investments pay out.

The easiest way to expose an irate and uneducated American is to see or read his/her reaction to something they don't understand or do not like. 99 times out of 100 they scream about "Communism" (sometimes Nazism, sometimes terrorism). Could it be that the root cause for such silly behavior is the "absolutism" in a two-party system? Because if you're not for one thing you have to be for the other, right?
Just to educate you, I obviously don't have any interest in Communism and - being born in West-Germany - our small percentage of organized Communism ended with the banning of the Communist Party of Germany in 1956. In East-Germany it ended with the dissolution of the SED in 1989. So grow the hell up with your ruminated McCarthyism or you will start to see Communists in your breakfast cereal.

That's what ultimately matters, and your rejection of the claim (s) made within that article are just another example of what's known as the 'Genetic Fallacy' (i. e. where you reject an idea purely because of where the idea originated, and for no other discernible reason).
