I heard about this on WSJ's Potomac Watch podcast. I think enough people expected something like this because presidents never keep all promises. Especially big ones. This will increase inflation until approximately 2027. Only then the deficit reduction part will come into play. But so much can happen in the next 5 years so nothing is guaranteed.
