If Republicans fail to take Senate or House back , will Trump decide not to run in 2024?

I think if Democrats hold on to House and Senate , Trump is too smart to Run in 2024 . This is why he is waiting to see what happens in November.

I dont think the GOP will let him run again. Both sides know they have each other by the balls but the GOP has been playing the long game for four decades and is just fine with losing an election cycle to scuttle any leverage trump has over them. Whereas trump knows the instant the GOP stops paying his legal bills, dangerous people are going to start collecting on his debts, if he doesn't just go right to prison. Right wing extremists like Alex Jones and Steve Bannon have openly already called for Trump's assassination. They are well aware he would be much more useful to the far right as a martyr. But he knew it was a den of crocodiles when they took him in.

I doubt that. Some may have done so publicly because that's what they want his base to hear but it would have been enormously advantageous for him to announce his run a year ago if he was going to run.

But it is true he might run, though. The way I see it the GOP is engaging in a bet. They are echoing trump pretty much completely and if it doesn't win them the red wave he promises then they will turn on him in an instant claiming the reason they didn't win is because Trump is dead weight, holding the party back. Of course if they do win then they pretty much have to do what he says until he dies. Personally I'm indifferent, at least as far as that goes. Obviously I prefer a functioning government and thus want democrats to keep Congress but as far as who eats who between the GOP and trump, I could care less. They are equally toxic garbage entities, not worth their weight in compost.

You saw what they wanted you to see. They are, to the bone, scammers. I'm sure trump knows they are looking to excise him, though. There is rumor he will encourage his base in Florida to write him in as governor just to show DeSantis he is not going to overtake trump. I doubt trump has the support to really make that happen, though. Even you seem to be aware that he's more valuable to the far right agenda as a symbol to claim victimhood on behalf of, rather than a candiate.

Perhaps, but barring a miracle the Democrats are not holding onto the House. Historically and with the mood of the nation as it is they should lose 25-40 seats. The Democrats will probably keep the Senate because the Republicans have doofus nominees in several winnable races. Unfortunately for me and really all of us, only a handful of civil libertarian small government types will be in office afterwards either way.

Trump... it really depends upon how the raid fully plays out. While he likely wins procedurally. Why? Obama still has not returned records to the National Archive that he took and which were requested, a 1987 SCOTUS decision said that a POTUS can declassify whatever he wants however he wants, and the Judicial Watch loss in a case against the National Archive about Bill Clinton in which the judge said that, in essence, a POTUS gets to decide what is his personal correspondence. Still, if anything untoward comes out, a lack of prosecution will not keep the "not into Trump but Biden is a catastrophe" crowd from abandoning him, which will cost him the nomination. Losing without any path to claim being cheated? His ego will not let him run in that situation.

No. Trump was warned by the GOP that if he declared his candidacy before the midterms then they would stop paying his legal bills.. which they for some reason are paying.. because they are spineless wimps.. And Trump can't say no to money right now even though he desperately wants to start campaigning for many reasons including his belief that it would allow him to escape all these legal cases nipping at his butt right now.

Trump will run for president again no matter if he wins or loses because from his point of view that is his ticket to not be put in prison.
