They can't build an electric powered truck as I don't think they could haul 80,000 pounds. They would have to make smaller trucks and carry less freight and need more truck drivers. The truck routes would need to be smaller. How long will it take to charge one and what will the range be? How can they recharge all the trucks you find at a truck stop? Think of how expensive it would be to replace all those batteries. All those batteries would be heavy and reduce the load the truck could carry. Most independent truck owners could not afford that. to buy one and have to carry less weight. I think it's a bad idea.

I think they better have lots of charging stations.
Wondering if electric cars (and, consequently, trucks) would perform better or worse in various environmental conditions. I'm sure there've been plenty of tests, but those were probably under NORMAL (or normal-ish) conditions; you may be able to handle a winter in Chicago, but can you handle one in Anchorage? Will extreme heat damage your efficiency? Torrential rain? Heavy snow? Various forms of air pollution?
