yeah generally but its more called "nine eleven" here because thats what you guys call it and its more a reference to the events of that day in 2001 and not the battle of Stirling bridge in 1297 which also occurred on the 11th of September. If its the date we would use 11 9. As for 911 the phone number that is used here by accident but links to our number 999, so you can use both (American culture to thank for that!)

Then, why change the others around? I call it Sept. 11th. Nobody calls Pearl Harbour Day 127, yet, they call Sept. 11th the modern Pearl Harbour.
I understand how you flip the numbers of the dates but that would make Sept. 11th, 119.
Yeah, the emergency number here is 911, that's PART of the reason I never call it anything but Sept. 11th.

Thing is I think the US is the only country that does it month day year, everywhere else is day month year or year month day

I think that's because we go for the short way. May 5th is only 2 syllables. 5th of May is 3.
