Anybody else 2024 been shitty?

So today a family member passed away and 2 months ago I was broken up with. I don't know if I'll have a place to stay in a few weeks. This year just seems to be getting worse by the second.

@Simslover92 ---Yes mine has also... and I share your grief. I am going back to Atlanta on the 10th of this month, as my only brother is dying of Lung cancer.

One bright spot, I am back with a former lover with whom I parted company with on New Years 2 years ago...

Sorry to hear about that. It's been alright, mostly crappy on the job front, but besides that pretty good on my end.

I don't make mistress money, so that's a no go on the single front too. My end is pretty simple though, just grind until someone retires, quits, or gets fired for a decent lab spot to open up.

Yep, from December 2023 I ran for a six months "life trial". I guess i passed the trial but recovery takes time, I saw the light again around mid August probably.

I will certainly remember this year lol. And not only for the downs, some ups have appeared, as expected, after recovery

This year hasn’t been all that great.
No luck with relationships I’ve been focusing on myself as I should I been spending time with family a lot and occasionally with friends still feel like I barely have friends too I feel left out feel like I don’t have a lot of friends either just a weird year for me

It was a pretty uneventful year. The big thing was that I retired from working full time. I still teach a few Computer Science courses. I planned a road trip that never happened and bought tickets to a concert that did not attend but besides that it was okay.

No I wasn't. I have been out of a job and working only doordash which barely paid the bills.

Do get a regular job. Door dash, Uber eats those things should only be for supplemental income. So who have you been staying w? What bills exactly do you have?

Nope. My family now has a full house of family living at the only place I could go. And the only other friend I have is my ex who I definitely can't live with.

Nope. Just enough to cover my bills and I work doordash right now.

My heart breaks to hear about your situation you aren’t the only one. Lots of people are struggling because of the F’ing economy.

I don't know what the job market is looking like in your area but if you can try and land another job that or a fulltime job that will allow you to at least live in a hotel until you can get yourself on your feet

But yeah you being a girl it is especially dangerous sleeping in your car. Especially if you don’t have a gun to protect yourself

In the event you do sleep in your car. Find a good spot to park and sleep. I recommend outside a police station. All you have to do is go inside and ask them if you can park your car outside to sleep. I’m sure they’ll let you.
