I just watched Biden tell everyone that the US and surrounding countries of Ukraine will be sending tanks and other military equipment to help Ukraine beat back Putin.
Is this the beginning of WW 3?

I keep wondering. If we can not get computer chips to build cars. Where will the US get chips to replenish the military defense weapons being sent to the Ukrainians?

I watched the same report on TV just now. The USA is sending 31 tanks to Ukraine. They are on the way now.
We have given Ukraine over one hundred BILLION dollars (cash money with no accountability dollars thus far). Plus military weapons to fight off Russia.
The white house is in it for the long haul to help Ukraine.
The president of Ukraine, Zelinski, keeps asking the USA for more and more. It is never enough for Ukraine!
Shit, we might as well fight the war for them because that's what's already happening. Where would they be without America's help? It also makes me wonder if they would do the same favors for us if we needed help.
Think out loud for a minute. We gave, just handed over ONE HUNDRED BILLION DOLLARS TO Ukraine with no questions asked. Sounds like Iraq all over when Obama sent truck loads of cash to them.
Gee, this president is such a nice guy - giving our tax payer dollars away to whoever asks for it. Hell, people from all over the world have invaded our boarder's and we just stand there handing them free cellphones, ID cards, clothing, expensive Hotel (not motel) rooms and they have trashed them like animals would. They've destroyed private citizens property and don't give a flip!
What will Putin do now? If he's smart, he will just ask Uncle Joey for a billion dollars too, and after Putin received, we can revisit your question. ☮️

He will likely try to do a dirty bomb on russian soil, in a civilian heavy area, to justify tactical nukes on Ukraine. Then the USA will retaliate with conventional strikes on Russian soldiers in Ukraine, which Russia will then have to retaliate against.

Getting tanks from the US to Ukraine is much more difficult than you might think...

For starters, we have to locate the (31 last I heard) tanks in storage that are fully mission capable. You'd think this would be easy, but speaking from personal experience with Bradleys, it's not uncommon for 10 out of 14 to have major problems with them that aren't immediately apparent.

Then we have to strip them of our proprietary armor packages and refit them for export.

Then they have to be transported, most likely by rail to either an airfield or a port. For this many tanks, I'd be very surprised if they didn't use a cargo ship as opposed to an airlift. In any case, they'd have to be taken somewhere else in Europe, definitely not directly into Ukraine.

From the European port, there's another train, and probably a flatbed truck after that to actually deliver them to the Ukrainians. Somewhere along the way, maintenance crews and tank crews have to be trained, because nothing they've had before is anything like the Abrams and Leopard, mechanically or technologically.

Bottom line: it would not surprise me at all if those tanks don't even get to Ukraine before summer.

I'm also willing to bet that these things are just going to be beyond what Ukraine is capable of handling in the long run, and many of these are going to end up abandoned or scuttled once something breaks.

Lol you need to wake up from your illusions. Russia as military power has proven it is pure crap. If they actually pull in Nato forces in the war, their borders would collapse because there is no way they can keep that many fronts open. Nukes wouldn't win the war for them it would just devastate both sides. They really don't have much of a tactical value beyond fear.

You mean an army that doesn't even have equipment for the soldiers would win against one that get supplied with modern gear from the west. Russia is so corrupt that it incapable of winning a war and its people has no desire fighting it. I can't see Russia winning this war. They have already lost it, and they keep losing it more every day they fight it. You will suffer from this bad war for generations and so will Ukraine, those who lives will be better of. There's no winners and that's a very important lesson. War is just madness.

No one wins in a war but this isn’t a war, Putin entered Ukraine to get rid of the bio-labs that are on the border between Ukraine and Russia, Ukraine are bombing and killing their own people, if this war was real why would Ukraine send out fake media from war films and video games? It was all proven to be fake last year, not only that why does president T-Shirt keep asking for weapons and money? Why not food and essential items for the citizens?
